Gameplay Overview
Uma Racing involves you selecting one of the horse girls in your collection to race against other players. When one of these races starts, you’ll need to nail a quick time event. Timing the button press correctly at this time will ensure that your runner begins with a boost to their speed. During the race, you’ll have to manage your Uma’s stamina and speed strategically. If their stamina runs out, they will slow down and allow other racers to pull ahead.
Each Uma also comes with certain special abilities that you can trigger during the races. Some of them might have an ability that lets them recover stamina faster. Others might be able to get a larger boost of speed when using the sprint option. While using abilities and running, you will also notice a bar named Zone at the bottom of your screen. When your Zone bar is full, you can trigger the ultimate sprint ability, giving your runner an extremely high speed buff for a limited period. Knowing when to unleash the Zone move is critical if you wish to win in races.
Controls
The following are the mouse and keyboard control schemes for the game:
- WASD: Character movement and lane changing
- Q/E or M1/M2: Sprint buttons (tap rhythmically for maximum speed)
- R: Special dash move
- F: Trigger the special ability for your character
- G: Zone mode
Gacha System
The game’s Gacha system lets you get new and better Umas. For that, you need to earn a significant amount of money. The easiest way of doing that is to race more. You will find Umas of various rarities, with the drop chance of the higher rarity characters being much smaller than that of the common ones. At first, you shouldn’t worry about unlocking the rarer characters. Even if you manage to master the rhythm necessary for running, you will be able to win races with common Umas.
You can also unlock new Uma racers by redeeming codes in the game.
Spectate
You can also choose to be a spectator and watch other players race instead of participating yourself. When you load into the lobby of the game, you can see the Spectate option at the bottom right.
