Learn how to clear Palace of Annals with simple steps, boss fight advice, and key rewards to help you progress.

Palace of Annals in Where Winds Meet is a Campaign side quest in Moonveil Mountain, Qinghe. It sends you deep under the Hall of Seasons into ruined machinery and layered chambers. You will fix a broken lift, follow audio cues, fight groups of enemies, and take on the boss Lucky Seventeen.
Go to Front Mountain in Moonveil Mountain and speak with Long Wu. He will tell you about the Hall of Seasons and point the quest marker to the entrance. Once you accept, head to the Hall of Seasons and climb to the second floor. The quest marker and dialogue set up the descent you are about to make.
How To Complete the Palace of Annals in Where Winds Meet
Move to the second floor of the Hall of Seasons. Look for a hole in the floor; it is usually near the central walkway. Use your landing ability to break through the gap and drop into the lower area. This is the first vertical transition; keep an eye on edges and look for weak floor sections.
Follow the Distant Sound
After you land, listen for a faint mechanical or humming sound. That noise is your directional cue. Walk toward the source while checking side passages. The path is not linear; small alcoves and short corridors can be misleading. If the sound fades, stop and rotate 360 degrees to pick it up again.
You will reach a lift that looks dead. A lever stands close by. Use Ember Cry on the lever to call the lift. The lift will arrive but remain inoperative. Do not try to force it; there is a separate contraption that controls the mechanism.
Find and Fix the Lift Contraption

From the lift, walk straight ahead along the same level, then take the first right. The contraption sits in a small mechanical room or alcove. Interact with the controls and perform the repair prompt. Once the contraption is repaired, return to the lift.
Use the repaired lift and descend to the lowest level. The environment changes: lighting drops, architecture grows denser, and the source of the sound is now close. You are about to reach the main combat area.
A small enemy group guards the lower chamber near the lift exit. Clear them to secure the area. Use this fight to warm up your parry timing and practice dodges against the group’s attack patterns.
Follow the long hall that leads away from the lower chamber. You will reach a large door marking the boss arena. Open it and step in when you feel prepared.
Boss Fight: Lucky Seventeen
Phase 1
His attacks are slower in phase 1. Use this time to study timing. Parry red attacks; dodge golden attacks. When his Qi meter drops, press hard with burst damage. Silk Binding attacks deal increased damage to him, so use them if you can.
After you damage his health bar fully once, a brief scene plays. Expect a reset where he regains aggressive behaviour.
Phase 2

He becomes faster and chains attacks. Keep parrying when possible, but switch to safe dodges if his pattern becomes unpredictable. The best opportunities are the brief exhausted states after Qi depletion. Use Execute attacks at the last moment of the exhausted window for maximum damage.
After defeating Lucky Seventeen, talk to him to advance the dialogue. Next, inspect the nearby pillar and read the inscription. Then climb or walk to the Loong statue and collect the glowing object at its head. This completes the main objectives.
