The Rainbow Six Siege server status is back online and the downtime for Operation Twin Shells has ended as of writing this article. Siege server downtimes before major season updates are a standard procedure. Planned maintenance allows developers to push the necessary updates for the upcoming season.
Rainbow Six Siege server status was offline from 13:00 UTC for approximately 60 minutes. This server downtime affected users across all platforms and also happened at the same time for all regions.

Developers at Ubisoft usually always communicate the Rainbow Six Siege server downtimes before they take place. This is done so that you can plan your gaming sessions from before and avoid unnecessary glitches during the update.
Rainbow Six Siege server status went offline at the following time for all regions:
- International: 13:00 UTC
- United States: 6 AM PT (Pacific Time) / 9 AM ET (Eastern Time)
- India: 6:30 PM IST
- Japan: 10 PM JST
- Australia: 11 PM AEST
As mentioned, servers were down for approximately 60 minutes. During this while, all players were unable to access the game servers or play the game in any mode. This includes offline modes like training ranges and deathmatches.
However, if you were already in a match when the downtime started, you were able to complete the match.
Y9S3 of Rainbow Six Siege brings several changes to the game and also introduces a new Defender Operator: Skopos. This new operator has two bodies that they can control and promises to bring a shift to the existing meta of the game.
