The Inquisitor is the protagonist of Dragon Age Inquisition. With Dragon Age The Veilguard releasing soon, fans are wondering if the Inquisitor will make an appearance in the fourth game of the franchise. Unfortunately, the cameo is highly unlikely.
The Inquisitor Will Not Play a Central Role in Dragon Age The Veilguard
Bioware does not shy away from recurring characters in its games, so why is the Inquisitor not likely to make an appearance in the fourth installment? Well, to begin with, the Inquisitor is a player-made character. It would be difficult to incorporate them into a fresh narrative since everyone visualizes them differently.
Moreover, in the Dragon Age The Veilguard reveal trailer, Varric stated that the game would feature somebody no one would ever see coming. This further curbed rumors of the Inquisitor’s return.
This can be a bummer for fans who wanted to reconnect with this beloved character. And, with Solas returning in the fourth installment, there could have been an interesting Solas-Inquisitor story.
There is a chance that Bioware establishes a canon variant of the Inquisitor and has them appear in Dragon Age The Veilguard, but that is a long shot. And even then, the character would likely not play a significant role.
Some Familiar Faces Will Return in Dragon Age 4
Solas, the Dread Wolf, will be an antagonist in Dragon Age The Veilguard. He was a companion character in Dragon Age: Inquisition, who was later revealed to be the mastermind behind Inquisition’s events. Varric Tethras, who was first featured in Dragon Age 2, will also return in the upcoming game.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard, developed by Bioware and published by Electronic Arts, will release on October 31, 2024. It will be playable on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC.
