Branching Paths in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is a feature that fans seem to be enjoying so far in the campaign. Despite a few issues arising in PvP, the campaign continues to shine through because of these “What if” scenarios tailored to fuel your inner Dragon Ball fan. There are many stories that we recommend you explore on your own. However, we still have a list that will help you get started.

If you haven’t already lived through the Branching Paths experience, this ranked list can help you make up your mind. And if you have walked these paths before, why not see if your idea matches with our list?

Goku, Frieza, Vegeta, Jiren, and Future Trunks are all included. Not every character has the same amount of Branching Paths. So, don’t worry, we are not getting biased towards one character over the other. With that out of the way, let’s take a look at the top seven, starting with the story you might be least interested in.

Best Branching Paths in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero

There is not much room for objectivity when making a ranked list. Everyone will have a different idea of what the best plotline and What If scenario in the game is. Either way, we would like to start off by putting everyone’s beloved Saiyan on number seven.

7. The Changing Future

This particular episode takes place in the Cell saga. Goku is trying to train the best way possible in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Piccolo is failing in his attempt to keep the android king at bay. Instead of waiting for his friends, Goku rushes to face his green opponent in this timeline.

His victory doesn’t come easy. Even after defeating Cell, you would have to defeat Android 18,17, and 16 separately before Goku shows them mercy and lets them see another day.

6. Embarking Toward Tomorrow

In an alternate timeline, Trunks doesn’t stay with his father when given the choice. Instead, he joins Gohan and leaves to train with him. This will start the said Branching Path where Future Trunks will eventually come toe-to-toe against Jiren the Grey. Not only does the Saiyan blood participate in the Tournament of Power but also ends up winning against the powerful foe.

5. True Strength

Another variation to the Tournament of Power is when Jiren ends up winning it. The ending goes to show how respectful of a character he is compared to many others who have fought Goku in the past. During the Saiyan Rampage mission, choose to stay put instead of interfering when faced with the option. This will unlock the said ending where our buff grey friend realizes his true potential in Full Power mode and defeats Ultra Instinct Goku as well.

Sounds impossible, right? Not only that, but he also ends up defeating Frieza and Android 17 alongside him. After defeating Son Goku in another battle in the end, you will have unlocked this ending in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero.

4. Inherited Pride

To unlock this Branching Path, players would have to stay with Vegeta and train with him. The future warrior will thus realise his true potential alongside his father. He will get to face off against and defeat Cabba, but this won’t be the end of it. To reach the conclusion and help Trunks become ‘Super’ in the true sense, he would have to defeat Toppo.

3. Number One Spot

This spot is reserved for the Saiyan Prince. Originally, Vegeta let himself get consumed by his desire to become the strongest. This allows Bibidi to prey on him and ultimately revive Buu. However, this time around, Vegeta grabs hold of himself, defeats the evil wizard and his companions, and ends up facing Goku in the World Tournament.

His new found confidence allows Vegeta to score a victory against Goku. He also looks at a new form of Goku and swears to become just as powerful as him again. His healthy relationship with power in this timeline makes all the difference.

2. Pushing The Limit

Goku pushes past his limits during the fight against the Saiyans when Vegeta and his friends first land on his planet. The push works and the good Saiyan is able to harness his Super Saiyan mode to ultimately put an end to Vegeta. Following this episode, he heads to Planet Namek where he once again meets the Prince of Saiyans.

This time around, Vegeta reveals that he was also able to tap into his Super Saiyan side as well. Goku has to push his limits once again to put an end to all this.

1. The Fall of the Saiyans

Ever wondered what would happen if Goku hadn’t been able to defend the Namekians from Frieza and his forces? This Branching Path lets us relive the legendary battle of Planet Namek, where the Saiyans lose and Frieza ends up on the higher ground.

What happens next? Let your imagination run wild!

This wraps up our ranked list for the best What Ifs in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. But don’t let it restrict you from playing through the rest of them. No fan or gamer should deprive oneself from experiencing these storylines.
