Roberto “Fanum” is a popular Twitch streamer and YouTuber often known for being a member of the streamer collective, Any Means Possible. The Bronx native became an internet sensation after Fanum Tax. This was—an act where he would take a portion of his co-members’ food items as a “tax.”—went viral. The streamer revealed in an X post dated June 14, 2024, that he had experienced a frightening health scare while alone in his apartment. Since he did not seek professional help for his condition at the time, it could not be confirmed if the health scare was a heart attack.

Despite this, the streamer, who has 2.6 million followers on Twitch, described the feeling as if “an elephant came and just sat” on his chest. This feeling had reportedly arrived with no forewarning and seemed to be quite intense. He discussed the details regarding the “heart attack” during a subsequent broadcast, he said:

“I take a bite of an oatmeal, chat… and it felt like an elephant came and just sat on my chest. Out of nowhere! I’m like, ‘What the f**k, bro?!’ Gang, after that, it was like somebody was trying to grab my heart and pull it out. I’m thinking like, ‘Okay, that’s one, two, or three times.’ Four times! Five times! Six times! I’m panicking now, I ain’t going to lie. I’m in the apartment by myself.”

What Did Fanum Do During the “Heart Attack” Scare?

As noted earlier, Fanum had decided not to seek professional help as he believed the pain was due to “heartburn.” For context, the streamer said that he had consumed “four burgers” the night before. He also stated that he had been facing acid reflux at night. He started to experience the supposed excruciating pain after consuming a banana and taking a bite of oatmeal.

Fanum further described that the pain was strong enough to make him believe that he was going to “die.” Labeling the pain as being “10 out of 10,” he continued:

“I’m being stupid. Like, I should’ve went to the hospital right then. And, I didn’t! I’m just waiting, like, just trying to hold it out, like hopefully, the pain leaves. Because it felt like a long heartburn. It just felt like a long a** heartburn. The pain was 10 out of 10.”

Fanum waited for the pain to subside before turning to the internet for answers. His apprehension became even greater after, as he discovered that the symptoms of a heart attack on the popular healthcare website WebMD seemed to match up with his own. He explained:

“My dumba** gets on WebMD. This is where sh** starts going nuts. I get on WebMD. Now I’m on WebMD and everything I search up… I got it. I got that sh**. I’m Googling sh**! So I’m writing in what I feel, and everything I see, I’m like, ‘I got that. I think I got this, too.’ I’m panicking! It’s like, I’m f**king up my own head, bro!”
