How to Unlock All Objects in The Sims 4

The Sims 4 has a wide variety of objects that you can use, and you can unlock just about everything that the game has to offer using cheats.

If you want your Sims to have an extravagant lifestyle in The Sims 4, you will have to spend some hefty cash, aka Simoleons. This is not a bad mechanic for a game that is supposed to simulate real life. However, there are a few things that you will not be able to purchase directly even if you have enough Simoleons. You will have to unlock them first using cheats. Do note that EA officially endorses the usage of cheats, so you don’t have to worry about accidentally breaking your game while modding.

Do note that if you proceed with any of the cheats, the game will disable achievements and trophies for that particular save. So, create a duplicate of the save file if you want to play with that household again.

First and foremost, you have to enable cheats on your PC. Press CTRL + Shift + C simultaneously. Type “testingcheats true” (without quotes) and hit enter. These steps will enable cheats for the save file that you are working on.

Open the cheat window again by pressing CTRL + Shift + C. Type the command “bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement“. Don’t type the quotation marks. Then hit Enter. If you did everything correctly, this should unlock all the objects in the game mode.

You can also unlock items that are hidden in the build/buy catalog. These include debug items and special in-game event objects. Use “bb.showhiddenobjects” without the quotation marks to unlock those items for use.

The Sims 4 allows console users to also enter cheats. While mods and custom content are restricted to PC users only, the devs didn’t want console users to feel completely left out. If you play on Xbox or Playstation, we have got you covered too.

Press four buttons at once on your controller. Ideally, these should be the two bumper/shoulder buttons and the two triggers that follow them. When the required window opens up, type “testingcheats true” (without the quotes). Next, input the command “bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement“. You can also opt for “bb.showhiddenobjects” if you wish to use the debug cheat to unlock items that are typically not available in the build mode.
