Twitch streamer and AMP member Kai Cenat has once again shown why he is the top dog in the industry. The New York-born creator became the first to cross the 400,000 subscriber mark. He achieved this feat in his ongoing subathon titled Mafiathon 2. For context, Mafiathon 2 started on November 1, 2024. Since then, Cenat has managed to break VTuber Ironmouse’s record of 326,000 subscribers which she set in September 2024.

At the time of writing, Kai Cenat is well over 400,000 and in the process of breaking more records. Today is just Day 15 of his event, meaning he still has 50% of the event left. The streamer also shared a tweet after reaching the latest mark. He wrote:

“FIRST TO HIT 400,000 SUBS EVER THIS IS INSANE DAY 15 WE HALF WAY THROUGH I LOVE EVERYONE WHO LOVE ME & ANYONE WHO DOESN’T THANK YOU”

The post also garnered numerous reactions from his fan base. Here are some notable ones:

“projected to hit 800k by the end of the month…generational run.”

Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 2 Explored

Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 2 event has been a resounding success so far. This marks his second subathon, following his record-breaking event in February-March 2023, during which he became the most subscribed Twitch streamer, reaching a peak of 306K subscribers.

After seeing his record surpassed by Ironmouse on October 2, 2024, Kai Cenat has reclaimed the top spot once again. This time, he has exceeded 400K subscribers, and he’s only halfway through his month-long Mafiathon 2 event. True to form, Mafiathon 2, like Cenat’s other streams, has been filled with countless viral moments.

One of his most viral moments came when he invited the Jabbawockeez to his stream. The Jabbawockeez are an American hip-hop dance crew that gained widespread recognition after winning the first season of America’s Best Dance Crew in 2008. Watch their viral collaboration here:

The streamer has also made a splash with his spending during the event. He purchased a $24,000 AI robot assistant to feature in his streams:
