Destiny 2 Hush God Roll Guide

Hush is a solar precision frame combat bow introduced during the Season of Opulence and brought back in Episode: Echoes. Pulse Rifles are normally regarded as middle-of-the-road weapons in PvE and PvP. Precision frame bows are great weapons for both PvE and PvP. Hush can be enhanced, granting it access to enhanced perks in Columns 3 and 4. As it is a playlist weapon, Hush has a huge perk pool making it have several good rolls but also causing it to be difficult to get a specific roll you may be chasing. In this guide, we will discuss the PvE and PvP god rolls and how to get the Hush combat bow.

How to Get Hush in Destiny 2

You obtain the Hush as end-of-activity rewards from Gambit playlist activities and also by turning in Gambit engrams at the Drifter. The Hush combat bow can be focused for 3 Gambit Engram and 25000 glimmer at the Drifter in the Annex section of the Tower destination. You do not have to earn the weapon in the playlist before you can focus it.

What Is the Hush God Roll in Destiny 2?

A god roll is the best combination of perks and masterwork that a weapon can get. God rolls are often sought after as they are considered the ultimate drop of that weapon and the most effective roll used in most content. In most situations, there are two god rolls for any gun, a roll for PvE and one for PvP. Hush is one of the few weapons where the PvE and PvP god rolls, while a little different, work in both situations. You will use the weapon slightly different for both rolls, but it will still be effective in almost every mode of play

PvE Hush God Roll

The best perks for the Hush PvE God Roll are Elastic String, Fiberglass Arrow Shaft, Archer’s Tempo, and Successful Warm-Up. These provide important stats, utility, and damage for the weapon.

The following list is the best perks for the Hush PvE God Roll in Destiny 2:

  • Bowstring: Elastic String
  • Arrow: Fiberglass Arrow Shaft
  • Column 3 Trait: Archer’s Tempo
  • Column 4 Trait: Successful Warm-up
  • Masterwork: Draw Time
  • Origin Trait: Gun and Run
  • Weapon Mod: Heavy Ammo Finder Enhancement

PvE Breakdown

As a Precision frame bow, Hush is a great weapon for PvE use as Precision frame bows do slightly more damage and have better aim assist than their Lightweight cousins. This does come at the cost of more draw time, but honestly, this is something only the most particular of player will notice. We still want to get our Draw Time stat as low as possible so take Elastic String to improve it as much as possible and then take Fiberglass Arrow Shaft to counter its negative effects. A Draw Time masterwork will also take this a bit further as well.

Archer’s Tempo is a hard perk to not recommend on any bow. It lowers the draw time of the bow by 25% for each precision hit. Precision hits are not difficult to hit with a bow, so it is a free draw time bonus. Taking it even further, the Hush rolls with Successful Warm-Up in Column 4. You can use this powerful combination to get the bow’s draw time down to ridiculous levels since headshots with bows are often kills in all but the hardest difficulty content. Just keep firing your bow at your enemies’ heads, and your draw time will get down so low you will be able to get several arrows off in a short amount of time. You could also opt for Archer’s Gambit, but that will limit your ability to aim down sites but provide you with a faster draw time bonus.

PvP Hush God Roll

The best perks for the Hush PvP God Roll are Elastic String, Fiberglass Arrow Shaft, Archer’s Tempo, and Archer’s Gambit. These provide important stats, utility, and damage for the weapon.

The following list is the best perks for the Hush PvP God Roll in Destiny 2:

  • Bowstring: Elastic String
  • Arrow: Fiberglass Arrow Shaft
  • Column 3 Trait: Archer’s Tempo
  • Column 4 Trait: Archer’s Gambit
  • Masterwork: Draw Time
  • Origin Trait: Gun and Run
  • Weapon Mod: Tension

PvP Breakdown

The choice between precision frame bows like Hush and its lightweight frame cousins is almost completely going to come down to feel and preference. Precision frame bows have longer draw times, but better aim assistance and damage. As with the PvE god roll, you want to lower the draw time as much as possible, so Elastic String combined with Straight Fletching is a solid option for your minor traits. Draw Time is still the preferred masterwork, but Accuracy is also a great option.

Hush comes with the powerful combination of Archer’s Tempo and Archer’s Gambit. This powerful combination allows for some powerfully low draw times but at the cost of making you have to shoot from the hip. If that is not something you feel like is going to work for your playstyle then something like Swashbuckler or Explosive Head will work better for you. Don’t be afraid to experiment with the Hush as it has several great combinations.
