The showcase could feature a detailed gameplay reveal, showcasing Wolverine’s brutal combat and storyline.
2. Ghost of Yotei (Gameplay Reveal)
Following the immense critical and commercial success of Ghost of Tsushima, Sucker Punch Productions is returning with a sequel titled Ghost of Yotei. While we have gotten an initial look at the beautiful environments, no gameplay has been showcased as of yet. Players are hoping to see more of the breathtaking landscapes, new combat mechanics, and rich narrative that defined the original title. If Ghost of Tsushima is anything to go by, the sequel will undoubtedly captivate players much like Jin Sakai’s journey did.
3. God of War Greek Mythology Remasters
The Norse saga of God of War has, without a doubt, been a phenomenal success. However, there is still a lot of love for Kratos’ original adventures in Greek mythology back in the early days of the franchise. Santa Monica Studios announcing remasters of the original God of War trilogy, enhanced with updated graphics and performance for the PlayStation 5, would be a nostalgic reveal for the fans. It would be a brilliant move by Sony too, since the God of War brand is now more popular than ever before after the release of Ragnarok. This would allow both new and returning fans of the series to relive Kratos’ epic journey in stunning detail.
4. GTA 6 (Gameplay Reveal)
The gaming world has been waiting for Grand Theft Auto 6 to show its face for years. With the only official trailer for the game now being a year old, fans are clamoring to see more. Rockstar Games could feature a gameplay reveal for GTA 6 during the PlayStation Showcase, finally giving players an official look at what they can expect from the gameplay. If it comes to fruition, it could be the highlight of the entire Showcase.
Rockstar Games has yet to showcase the game’s storyline, characters, and innovative features. All of these aspects will define this new entry in the iconic series, undoubtedly making it one of the most talked-about announcements.
5. Resident Evil 9
Capcom’s Resident Evil series, despite its age, continues to captivate players with its blend of horror and action. Following the success of Resident Evil Village and the 2023 RE4 Remake, fans are eagerly awaiting the next installment. Capcom announcing Resident Evil 9 with a potential trailer would be a thrilling moment for fans of the franchise. The trailer could tease new horrors, characters, and settings. Ethan Winters seemingly died at the end of Resident Evil Village. This means that players could take control of a new protagonist in a fresh and horrifying setting.
6. Next Naughty Dog IP
Naughty Dog has a stellar reputation for creating some of the most memorable and critically acclaimed games in PlayStation’s history. This includes the Uncharted and The Last of Us series. Rumors of a brand-new IP from Naughty Dog have been generating excitement among fans.
The next PlayStation Showcase would be the perfect stage to give fans an idea of what the upcoming title could be. The excitement is only boosted by beloved voice actor Troy Baker being confirmed to star in it.
