Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is arguably one of the best-looking Xbox games of this generation and for good reason. Not only does the game make full use of Doom Eternal’s id Tech 7 engine, but it also improves upon it substantially. However, the increased visual fidelity comes at the cost of performance and increased PC system requirements.
Furthermore, since the game’s early access release, some players have reported crashing issues in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Although the game runs quite well on systems that meet the specifications recommended by the developer, MachineGames, it’s not completely immune to issues.

At 1080p native, Doom Eternal easily surpassed 4 GB of VRAM usage.

As you can see, the recommended specifications for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle are quite high when it comes to VRAM. This is precisely what causes the game to crash. Essentially, if you try to push the game past your GPU’s VRAM limits, it tries to switch over to system memory to compensate. That causes instability and, ultimately, crashes to the desktop.
The general rule of thumb to reduce such crashing incidents is to heed the in-game VRAM counter. Furthermore, you should also take some time to tweak the settings based on your PC’s specifications for a balance between performance and visuals.

- Launch Steam > Click on Library.
- Right-click on Indiana Jones and the Great Circle from the list of games in your Steam library.

- Click on Verify Integrity of Game Files.
- Wait for the files to get checked.
