Act 2 of Path of Exile 2 has several boss fights. These fights are a step up from any hurdle you’ve faced in Act 1. The main quest bosses, in particular, are quite the skill check. Tor Gul, The Defiler, is one of the main quest bosses you face in Act 2 of Path of Exile 2.

Where To Find Tor Gul, The Defiler in Path of Exile 2
The boss is a part of the Trail of Corruption quest. This quest sees you heading to the Spires of Deshar in pursuit of Jamanra. You finally catch up with him towards the end of the area. However, Jamanra deceives you and escapes once again, but not without assembling Tor Gul The Defiler from the pile of bones in the area. This kicks off the boss fight.
How To Beat Tor Gul, The Defiler in Path of Exile 2
Tor Gul, The Defiler in Path of Exile 2 is a giant skeleton husk with fire burning through his bones. The boss is locked at the center of the arena and can only rotate from the center. As a result, you have to run around in circles as you fight the boss. Staying in one spot will be punished by a hand slam attack that deals large chunks of damage. The boss also has an attack where he slams his head onto the ground with full force. He telegraphs his attack by lifting his head upward.
In addition to the slam attack, Tor Gul, The Defiler also uses a sweep attack. In this attack, the giant boss sweeps his arm around the arena to hit you. The sweeping arc covers roughly a quarter of the arena, so keep moving to avoid it. He also breathes fire in a sweeping arc, covering half of the arena. Run towards his back to avoid being burned.
As the fight progresses, tiny flame skulls will start hovering around the boss in addition to a small wall of fire. You can deal with the skulls easily. All of the boss’ attacks deal fire damage, so we recommend carrying charms to grant fire resistance. Keep circling the boss and deal damage to his back to clinch victory.
