How To Get Laser Katana
Unfortunately, you cannot find this weapon lying around. You must craft one. For that, you will need:
- 1x Reinforced CPU: Defeating a Defense Robot in the Hydroplant or the Garage Rats in the Praetorium will give you these.
- 1x Laser Emitter: These need to be crafted with 1x Photon Receptor, 1x Projection Matrix, and 1x Energy Brick.
- 2x Carbon Plating: These need to be crafted with 1x Refined Carbon and 1x Carapace.
- 1x Sword: The Furniture Store has Swords mounted on the wall over the fireplace on the first floor. The Residence Sector in Janet’s room has them as well.
Usage of Laser Katana

Although it requires a Sword, the Laser Katana has ranged-attack capabilities. The sword emits a laser ray from the meeting point of the hilt and the blade. Brandishing the sword causes the ray to go in an arc and damage enemies.
The Laser Katana deals two kinds of damage: Laser damage when it’s charged, and Sharp when the charge is depleted. Although it is not a Heavy Weapon, the Laser Katana does not allow pairing it up with a Shield. Interestingly, the Laser Katana receives a bonus from the Blunt Melee skill while charged and from Sharp Melee when not charged. However, it does not give XP to either skill. Furthermore, it still does the bonus laser damage when it is not charged, but does not emit the laser arc.
