Abiotic Factor is a co-op survival game by Deep Field Games, which heavily emphasizes crafting. The game requires you to craft various essential items to build and manage your base inside an underground facility. While you can craft several basic items right away from the Crafting and Research menu, some advanced items—like Landing Cushion, Energy Brick, and Frying Pan (Makeshift)—require a Powered Crafting Bench. But how do you find one?
The game doesn’t clearly explain. Since crafting an Energy Brick is essential to completing one of the early tasks in Abiotic Factor, learning how to make a Powered Crafting Bench is a top priority.

How To Get Crafting Bench in Abiotic Factor
You cannot find an already built Powered Crafting Bench in the game, as they are not dedicated stations. Instead, you need to make one on your own by building a Crafting Bench first. You need the following materials to craft a Crafting Bench:
- Duct Tape (x4): Found inside toolboxes and lockers or obtained randomly by smashing wooden crates.
- Metal Pipe/ Hydro Pipe (x2): Obtained by dismantling pipes from the walls or by breaking wooden crates.
- Power Supply Unit (x1): Obtained by breaking computers and photocopiers.
Invent the recipe from the idea by placing the respective items in the corresponding slots, unlocking the Crafting Bench recipe.
How To Make Powered Crafting Bench in Abiotic Factor
After unlocking the recipe and gathering all the required materials, craft a Crafting Bench and place it near a Power Socket. While positioning a Crafting Bench, you will see a highlighted area indicating the range of the power source. One such early location in the game is near the security office in front of the cafeteria door.
Interact with the Power Socket to pull the power cable, then connect the cable to the Crafting Bench to transfer power, turning it into a Powered Crafting Bench. This allows you to craft more advanced and powerful items.
