One of the first things you’ll notice is Abiotic Factor is how easily you run out of inventory slots. You can hold only so many Screwdrivers, Metal Scraps, Metal Pipes, Electronics, etc. However, there are Backpacks in the game. These satchels increase of inventory slots while resting on your back.
In this article, we will discuss how to find a Backpack in the early game.
How To Get a Backpack in Abiotic Factor
After you have accessed the Facility, you must go to the Data Farm. This is a giant open office space. Find the Manager’s office surrounded by glass. Keep in mind that glasses are breakable.
Take care of the aliens patrolling the place and grab the Backpack lying on the floor.
Wait! There Is More
We advise you not to be complacent at this stage. There is a better option not far away from the place you have found the Basic Backpack. Slip behind the office and peek over the edge. There, you will see a narrow platform that leads to a ladder.
Take that ladder to climb down. Go into the tunnel at the bottom. Here, you will find the lifeless body of a GATE employee. Next to him lies a Security Pack and other gear.
All about Backpacks
The Basic Backpack increases your Inventory Slots by six, while the Security Backpack takes it to 9. If you perish, you will not lose either Backpacks. However, the contents inside the Backpacks will not be there, and you must collect them from the place where you have fallen.
The Backpacks are solo pickups, i.e., these won’t be much help to your team if you are playing as a squad.
You can also craft Backpacks. To make a Makeshift Backpack, you’ll need:
- 1x Cloth Scrap
- 1x Metal Pipe
Makeshift Backpacks have the lowest additional slots, i.e., they only increase your existing inventory by three slots.
