In Abiotic Factor, surviving the GATE research facility requires you to gather essential items by exploring the different regions. However, not all terrains are the same. While traversing some areas doesn’t pose much of a challenge, others require you to use advanced tools like the Jetpack. The Jetpack stands out as a major upgrade, making your life a whole lot easier.
It significantly enhances your vertical mobility and traversal capabilities, unlocking flight options. It allows you to reach high spots or navigate across dangerous zones at ease. Here is how you can acquire the Jetpack and traverse across the facility effectively in Abiotic Factor.

How To Acquire Jetpack in Abiotic Factor
You can obtain a Jetpack through the crafting process. You need the following materials to craft the Jetpack:
- Long Jump Pack (x1): Obtained via crafting using Coil Windling, Power Cells, Air Compressor, and Transformer Bushing.
- Transuranic Superalloy (x1): Craft the item using Plutonic Blood, Plutonic Carapace, Arcane Scrap, and Transcendium.
- Leather Scrap (x8): Acquired by salvaging Briefcases, Radio Packs, Rat Suits, and Rat Packs at a Repair and Salvage Station, or by harvesting the remains of Sow Peccary.
- Cog (x8): Acquired by breaking the Turbines in Hydroplant, Voussoir, and Reactors sectors.
Once you gather the required materials, head to the Crafting Bench and assemble a Jetpack.
How To Use Jetpack in Abiotic Factor
The Jetpack is a backpack capable of allowing the user to fly. To fly upwards, equip the Jetpack in a gear slot and press the jump button while airborne. Flight allows you to reach previously inaccessible areas, avoid fall damage, and safely traverse hazardous zones. Make sure to manage the overheating bar and battery level of the Jetpack for uninterrupted flight.
However, before using it in a new portal environment, you must complete the Portal World once and fully calibrate the Jetpack. In addition to the flight ability, the Jetpack also offers 30 slots, allowing you to conveniently keep essential items.
