How To Acquire Solder in Abiotic Factor
As mentioned, you can acquire Solder only through cooking. However, you cannot simply acquire the recipe by mixing different ingredients. Instead, you need to analyze the pot near the Blacksmith to unlock the recipe. Then, take a Cooking Pot and fill it with clean Water. You can acquire water from various sources, like water coolers, sinks, bathrooms, and kitchens. Place the water-filled pot on a stove and start boiling. Then add Silver Scrap and Metal Scrap to the pot. You can acquire Silver Scrap at the Train portal world, while dismantling vent covers provides Metal Scrap. Then, cook the recipe for a while, and it will provide Uncooked Solder. You can scoop 4 portions of Solder from the Uncooked Solder.
How To Use Solder in Abiotic Factor
The Solder is used to craft various types of paint, such as Black, Blue, Cyan, Brown, and Green paints. Additionally, it serves as a core component for crafting the Healing Briefcase, an advanced healing item that provides area-of-effect (AoE) healing.
Beyond crafting, Solder plays a crucial role in story progression. It can be tarded with the Blacksmith to acquire Fibre Optic Cable. You will need Fibre Optic Cable along with Optic Lens and Diode for repairing the three pumps for the Synchrotron, which grants access to the next zone, Cascade Laboratories.
