If you have waltzed into the Cascade Laboratories, you must have faced this gigantic foe named Tarasque. This sinister-looking large enemy might seem problematic at first.
This large enemy tries to close the distance between you and itself, so timing and positioning are key to standing a chance against it.

How To Kill a Tarasque
You must maintain proper timing and positioning to take down the Tarasque. Start by aiming for the glowing red tentacles on its chest and keep firing until the Tarasque topples and exposes the weak spot on its back. That’s your cue to get close and deal a flurry of damage before it gets up. Do this a couple of times to get rid of the Tarasque.
Its punches might look clumsy and slow, but they pack quite some power. If a punch connects, you’ll receive a tremendous knockback. You can duck the initial damage with your armor. Ranged weapons like guns or the Grinder are your best friends here. Find a vantage point and start firing at its tentacles.
After the monster succumbs, use a sharp melee weapon like a knife to carve it up and collect a Tarasque Skull and some Tarasque Ichor. The Ichor will allow you to repair the portal leading to The Mycofields, a valuable zone loaded with fresh crafting resources.
