Skills in Abiotic Factor are an important part of survival. This article will discuss how to level them up in the game.

In Abiotic Factor, you survive against the odds in an underground facility infested with dangerous mutants, armed rebels, and everything in between. You must bathe, eat, fight, craft, rest, and defecate while carrying out various objectives. For this, you must be at the top of your game with leveling up Skills.
In this article, we will discuss leveling up Skills in Abiotic Factor, which will eventually help in progressing through the game.
Leveling Up Skills in Abiotic Factor

As you can see from the image, your Skills are divided into three categories: Fitness, Combat, and Survival. Let us discuss each of the categories in detail.
Fitness
Sprinting: This is by far the easiest Skill to level up. Toggle on Sprint and run around to level up this Skill. Consuming Bland Pea Soup will give you an added boost.
Strength: For this, you must carry heavy items in your inventory and walk around. Be sure to be above the yellow line and below the red line of the bar to boost strength efficiently. At Level 5, you will be able to shake Vending Machines and level up further. Eating Stew helps in this endeavor. Additionally, carry a Military Cot around to sleep briefly and restore your Stamina.
Throwing: The experience gained depends on the distance between you and the target. Farming Bio Scraps by throwing Nets on Pests initially helps level up. You need to reach Level 5 to be able to throw high-damage throwables like Frag Grenades.
Sneaking: This is a rather tricky Skill to level up. Sneaking up on any enemy and landing a blow will level up this skill somewhat. However, hitting patrolling enemies will yield more experience than hitting stationary ones. Moreover, the Weapon Power plays a role. Using weapons like a Crowbar, Peccary Club, or a Pickaxe will provide more experience than a Pipe Club. Usually, landing a shot with one of those high-damage, heavy melee weapons will one-shot most enemies. Donning the Crystalline Cloak will help you to sneak more efficiently. Bland Pea Soup increases your experience gain in this regard.
Combat

Blunt Melee: Using any heavy weapon without a blade will boost this. The damage you deal plays a role in the experience gained. Pairing this up with Sneak attacks and taking out clueless Order lackeys will boost this Skill. Meaty Stew helps with experience gain.
Sharp Melee: Same mechanism as the Blunt Melee one, but will be applicable for weapons with blades. Obtaining a Pickaxe from the Manufacturing West will help you level up this skill. Please note that cutting up the caracasses of mutants, e.g., Pests, Peccaries, and Exors, will not help you gain experience because you are not dealing any damage, but destroying boxes will. Meaty Stew helps in this Skill leveling as well.
Accuracy: This depends on using ranged weapons and landing hits on enemies. Ammo is quite scarce in the GATE Facility and the adjoining worlds. For this, initially using a Scrapshot is the best way to go, since the weapon deals respectable damage in close range and can easily be repaired with Tech Scraps. Later, you can craft a Lodestone Crossbow from a Splintered Crossbow. The Lodestone Crossbow can hold eight bolts.
Reloading: The Lodestone Crossbow helps in leveling up this Skill as well. So does Scrapshot and Security Pistol. However, like any other video game featuring reloadable weapons, do not reload without taking proper cover.
Fortitude: This is another tricky skill to level up. You can use a Chopinator in this case. Equip a Plasmatic or a Lodestone shield and walk into a rotating Chopinator while holding the Shield up to quicken the method.
Survival

Crafting: Make and dismantle Water Bottles repeatedly to boost this Skill. A Water Bottle costs and returns one Plastic Scrap.
Construction: Packaging any furniture you see will help in this regard. You can also package and deploy your benches repeatedly.
First Aid: This is another tricky Skill to level up. You must make quite some Splints for this using a Bandage, a wooden Plank, and Duct Tape. Jump from heights to break your leg. Wear the Splint to recover, and then repeat the process.
Cooking: Set up multiple stoves to level this Skill up. Have multiple Frying Pans at your disposal, make Makeshift ones if you have to. Cut up any Mutant you can find and cook them. This will give you perishable food. Have a refrigerator in your base to preserve the food. Use a Plug Strip to power three Portable Stoves at a time from a single outlet.
Agriculture: Go to the Far Garden or the tunnels of Manufacturing West to pluck as much Antiverse Wheat as you can to level this Skill up. They regrow after a certain time and can be used to craft Healing Syringes. Veggie Stew boosts the Agricultural experience gained.
Fishing: There is no shortcut to boost this Skill, unfortunately. You must fish, although the chances of getting a better catch increase with higher levels.
