Abyssus is currently suffering from a bug that prevents you from inviting friends, and we have a few fixes for it.
Abyssus is a co-op roguelite that throws you into a techno-medieval setting, giving you monsters to slay. It throws a large number of monsters at you, and beating them requires top-tier team synergy. Teamwork is the name of the game in Abyssus, which would make it incredibly unfortunate if the game had any bugs that affected team play. Well, that’s exactly what’s happening in the game right now.
Abyssus has a bug that prevents you from inviting friends over to your lobby. Essentially, you can’t invite friends and are stuck playing solo or with randoms. This is a cardinal sin for any multiplayer game, and while it’s sure to be patched out soon enough, we have a temporary fix that can help you in the meantime.

How To Fix the Can’t Invite Friends Bug in Abyssus
As stated earlier, the Can’t Invite Friends bug prevents you from inviting your friends over to your lobby. You can fix this in a couple of ways:
- Update your game: Abyssus has just been released, and the game is frequently getting patched. You have to ensure that both you and your friend are on the same version of the game. Only then can you invite them.
- Check servers: The game servers could be having an issue. Make sure to follow the devs on X to keep up with any server maintenance news.
- Verify integrity of game files: Verify your game files by right-clicking on the game, then Properties>Installed Files>Verify integrity of game files.
- Create a new lobby with a password: You can create a new lobby, but set a password for it. This will only allow people with the password to join your game. Give the password to your friend, and they can then join you in on the fun.
