In this guide, we’ll explore the weapons tier list in Abyssus. It should help you assess which weapons to use or avoid.
Abyssus is a roguelite shooter that features plenty of different weapons for you to find and unlock. As you progress through the game, you will complete more challenges or unlock requirements, which will give you access to these weapons. However, not all of them perform equally on the battlefield. Some of these weapons are highly powerful, while others are passable at best.
As a new player, you need to know which weapons to prioritize and which to avoid. In this guide, we’ll help you understand more about the best and worst weapons through our weapons tier list in Abyssus.
All Weapons and Their Tiers
We have divided the entire weapons list into four tiers: S-tier, A-tier, B-tier, and C-tier. Alongside the classification, we’ll also briefly explain the positioning of each weapon within the tiers.
S-tier Weapons
| Weapon | Reason for Inclusion |

| Brine Revolver | The Brine Revolver deals excellent damage against single enemies, making it a great weapon to use against elites or bosses. With it, you can take down even the most challenging foes quicker. |
| Tesla Gun | If you’re looking for crowd control, there isn’t a better weapon than this one. The orbs the weapon fires can take down several enemies simultaneously. However, it isn’t as effective against single targets. |
| Plasma Launcher | This is your best option if you hope to deal significant AoE damage to foes. Also, you can scale its firing rate and damage through the use of Charms. |
A-tier Weapons
| Weapon | Reason for Inclusion |
|---|---|
| Engine Rifle | A great choice for new players, this weapon is kind of a jack of all trades, but a master of none. So, you can expect a highly versatile weapon that does well in varying situations. |
| Fish Gun | Although amusing at first, the weapon isn’t there for comic relief alone. You can take down waves of enemies with it. You can stack explosions with it and improve on its initial Damage output. |
| Combat Bow | Pair this weapon with turrets, and you should have a great way of causing some damage. However, you’ll need to invest in some upgrades for the weapon before it becomes the A-tier option we’re referring to. |

B-tier Weapons
| Weapon | Reason for Inclusion |
|---|---|
| Burst Machine Gun | While effective, you don’t want to use this against enemies that have a higher health pool. |
| Shotgun | You need to position yourself in the correct spots to be able to deal extensive damage with the Shotgun. If you are good with close-range combat, the Shotgun does deal quite a bit of damage at these distances. |
| Plasma Cannon | The Plasma Cannon is a decent weapon in the game’s current state. Players who can master this option might be able to deal solid damage with it, but it isn’t a new player-friendly option. |
C-tier Weapons
The standard pistol is the only weapon we’ve placed in the C-tier for our weapons tier list in Abyssus. It’s just a passable weapon for beginners, and almost no players will want to stick with it long-term.
