Adin Ross seemingly defends DJ Akademiks amid controversy, stating he is “not a pedophile” while addressing the podcaster’s recent scandal.
After Livingston “DJ Akademiks” was involved in a controversy with a minor, Adin Ross has expressed his opinions on the matter. For the uninitiated, DJ Akademiks participated in a Discord call with multiple members, including a minor known as NourGxd. Akademiks, along with several others on the call, made derogatory remarks toward the minor. During a stream, Adin seemingly defended the podcaster, said that the situation was weird, and asserted that DJ Akademiks is not a pedophile.
“I just think it was a really weird situation. At the same time, it’s like… bro, like, it’s just… I don’t know. No, guys, what he said was super f**king weird. Don’t get me wrong. Like, I get it. The clip came out, he doesn’t know him. But, bro, he’s not a f**king pedophile. Like, it’s just, like, bro… like, come on, bro! You guys pick and choose of who you guys like allow certain sh*t to be said, too. Like, I swear to god, y’all do. That’s the problem!”

Adin stated that the public picks and chooses who they allow to say certain things. He alleged that his friend used to play Fortnite with a minor and say weird things. However, the public was not enraged with his friend. DJ Akademiks was banned on Twitch days after the incident. He made a statement regarding the ban, saying that he will continue to multi-stream on several platforms including Rumble, Meta, and YouTube. He also stated that almost 80% of his viewership comes from YouTube. Livingston also mentioned that he was working with Twitch to get the ban sorted out.

During the stream, Adin stated that his friend, who the fans speculate is Konvy, has done worse things. The streamer said that the community is not fair in how they treat certain individuals. Ross said that the community always picks and chooses who to hate and needs to be consistent about it.
“My friends have said way worse sh*t to… bro, one of my friends used to play Fortnite with a 15,16-year-old every stream, milk f**king weird sh*t. That’s what I’m trying to say, y’all pick and choose who y’all, like, does that make sense what I’m trying to say? Don’t pick and choose, be consistent.”
