Level up your Blade skill faster in Oblivion Remastered by locating every trainer across Cyrodiil, from basic to master.
The Blade skill in Oblivion Remastered significantly increases the damage dealt with sharp and narrow weapons like swords, daggers, katanas, and claymores. At Apprentice and higher skill levels, Blade unlocks various power attacks and increases their damage. For melee-focused combatants, such as warriors, barbarians, or dagger-wielding assassins, investing in Blade is essential for dealing high damage at Expert or Master difficulty.
Blade levels up naturally when you hit a target with one of the aforementioned weapons. On higher difficulties, boosting your Blade skill ensures that each swing of your weapon counts, and combining it with poisons, enchantments, and power attacks can take down the spongiest of enemies.
Although it increases steadily with frequent combat, you can level up Blade five times per character level through trainers. To do so regularly and max out the vital skill as soon as possible, you will need to learn the locations and tiers of the Blade trainers available to tutor you in Cyrodiil.
Every Blade Trainer in Oblivion Remastered
To train in Blade, approach the following characters and speak with them. Then, select the “Train” option at the bottom left, below the list of dialogue choices.

The cost of training in Blade will increase along with your level in the skill. The gold needed to level up is 10 times your skill level. For example, training from level 11 to level 12 will require 110 gold.
Master Blade Training
Once you have leveled up Blade to 70, you can begin the ‘Blade Training’ quest by speaking with Rhano or Sherina. They will talk about Alix Lencolia, a master swordsman lodged at Faregyl Inn while on his way to the southern provinces. When you find Alix and speak with him, he agrees to train you if your Fame or Infamy is above 20.
If you don’t have enough, complete more quests and return to the master swordsman when you do. You can check your Fame and Infamy in the Character page’s “Details” tab. Unlike most other master trainers, Alix is available for training at any time, day or night.
