Whenever a cloud signal pops up in the sky, all players in the server start to sail toward the signal to contest the event. These events generally lead to brutal PvP fights, and winners take all the loot. There are so many events happening in the game; therefore, there are a lot of cloud signals.

A cloud signal helps players locate the event in a server. Anyone can take part in these events, and players can earn a lot of rewards from these activities. Here are all the cloud signals in Sea of Thieves:
1) Skeleton Fort

If you see a large skeleton-shaped cloud in the sky with two glaring eyes, it’s a cloud signal for Skeleton Fort. It is a world event during which a lot of skeletons attack you and your crew in multiple waves. After some waves, the captain appears and drops a key when defeated. This key is used to unlock a vault that has a good amount of loot inside. Skeleton Fort is a very simple event and the color of the eyes of its cloud signal changes according to the time of day.
2) Fort of Fortune

This event also uses a skull-shaped cloud signal as an indicator. The skull of Fort of Fortune has two glaring eyes with a glowing nose. Additionally, there are three vertical glowing stripes on the skull’s forehead. Fort of Fortune is just like Skeleton Fort but with more waves and stronger enemies. You can win the Chest of Legends by completing this event successfully.
3) Fort of the Damned

This event is also marked with a skull-shaped cloud signal. The skull is dark in color with eyes glowing red or orange light. Fort of the Damned is a raid event where players have to collect six flames of different colors and a ritual skull. These items are then used to open the gate of the fort. There are many skeletons of the night; these enemies are faster than normal skeletons. The main boss of the event is the Ghost of Graymarrow, and it drops a lot of valuables when defeated.
4) Fleet of Fortune

A Fleet of Fortune is located with the help of a ship-shaped cloud glowing in orange. This is a very rare naval combat world event where players fight fleets of skeletons. As this is one of the rarest events, the Fleet of Fortune rewards players with rare and valuable loot.
5) Ghost Fleet

Ghost Fleet is a naval combat world event that uses a green tornado as its cloud signal. You have to fight Flameheart’s fleet during this event. Defeat three waves of enemy ships and fight The Burning Blade to win this event. This is a challenging mission, so make sure to prepare yourself and your ship before commencing the attack. The event gives cursed loot as a reward, which can be sold to earn some cash.
6) Skeleton Fleet

Just like Fleet of Fortune, Skeleton Fleet also uses a ship-like cloud signal. This cloud signal resembles a galleon ship and indicates another naval combat world event. Defeat the waves of skeleton ships using cannonballs and win this battle. Additionally, players can board enemy ships to kill the skeletons so they don’t repair their ship. The reward from this fleet includes a rare chest and gems.
7) Ashen Winds

This World Event uses a red tornado as its Cloud Signal. Ashen Winds lets you and your crew fight an Ashen Skeleton Lord. The lord can summon skeletons to help him and cause problems for you. This event is a bit harder than others, but it also gives better rewards than other events. You can win an Ashen Winds Skull, which can be used as a flamethrower in Sea of Thieves.
