Stronghold Crusader Definitive Edition, as the name suggests, is a definitive and enhanced version of the original title, which came out in 2002. Most of the game’s elements are still intact in this version, including the cheats that you can use via the console command in Stronghold Crusader Definitive Edition. Mentioned below are all the cheats and how to use them in the game.
How To use Cheats in Stronghold Crusader Definitive Edition
Stronghold Crusader can feel a little overwhelming at first. If you are someone who has not played the original title or is not an expert in real-time strategy titles, cheats will be your best bet. The game is really vast and features an extensive map. Unlocking the entire area and becoming a pro in the game can take more than 40 hours. Till then, you can rely on cheats. To start the console command, follow these steps:
- Launch the game and press ‘Esc’ to open ‘Game Options.’
- Select the ‘Options’ button.
- Select the chicken icon.
- Select the ‘Allow Cheat Keys’ option from here. You will also see a list of cheats on the screen.

List of Available Cheats and Their Functions
From the main menu, press SHIFT + ALT + A to open the console. Once the console is up, you can use these cheats:
- ALT + X – Increases popularity by 100 and money by 1000.
- ALT + C – Cycle characters or unlock all missions.
- ALT + K – Destroy enemy fortress. (Or build for free?)
- ALT + Z – Destroy selected enemy.
- ALT + G – Destroy main stronghold.
- ALT + D – Engage debug mode.
- ALT + P – Increase the character’s level.
- ALT + F – Upgrades and purchases become free.
- ALT + S – Time shift.
- ALT + Q – Time compression engaged.
- ALT + Y – All enemies on screen turn into butt sauce.
