Tempest Rising is a brand new real-time strategy or RTS game developed by Slipgate Ironworks. Many players are also praising Tempest Rising as being what a modern Command and Conquer game should have been. As of now, the game only has two playable factions with each having unique troops and strengths. Moreover, there is also a third faction, which is teased to become playable in the future.

All Factions in Tempest Rising
Global Defense Force
The Global Defense Force, or GDF in short, is one of Earth’s largest military organizations in Tempest Rising. They are global peacekeepers who prioritize having information on threats over anything. If you play as the GDF faction in Tempest Rising, maintaining advantageous positioning is your key to victory.
Your most prized troop in the GDF faction is the Comms Officer. They are the ultimate communications and combat specialists, who can mark enemies and engage them from a distance with their laser rifles. Additionally, you can use Snipers to take out high-priority targets from long distances.
Tempest Dynasty
The Tempest Dynasty is a collection of European and Asian nations that have united after World War III. In Tempest Rising, this faction is led by ex-colonel Domovoy Molchalin, who made a name due to his outstanding command during World War III and post-war scenarios. Due to failing health, his son, Aleks Molchalin, now takes over his duties.
This faction in Tempest Rising is highly known for its ruthlessness on the battlefield. They are willing to do anything if it results in their victory, even if it means sacrificing their soldiers. Moreover, the Tempest Dynasty is notorious for calling in non-combatant civilians to take arms and enter the battlefield as mere distractions.

Veti
The Veti are currently an unplayable faction that is introduced during the campaign missions. Fortunately, they are going to become playable in later updates due to being teased as a major faction on Tempest Rising’s official website. They are an ancient alien race that once ruled the Earth thousands of years ago. Now, they have returned once again to claim the Earth for themselves.
Unfortunately, there is not much information about this faction as of now. Tempest Rising is in very early stages of its launch, so much of the content is going to be added in future updates. However, the Veti faction is likely going to serve as a major threat to both the human factions that are part of the Tempest War.
