The Star is a mandatory requirement for claiming the powerful Crown of Immortality. Crown of Immortality is a unique Feat of its own that you unlock after completing your first Minor Feat.
Completing the Minor Feats earns you Feat Points, and completing a Major Feat provides certain upgrades to stats. These are permanent stat improvements and other rewards like Eternal Shards. Eternal Shards are basically a currency that you can earn by opening chests, destroying urns, completing quests, and killing monsters. Use the shards to unlock the new perks in the game. Completing a Major Feat will unlock its next level, including similar Minor Feats but a bit more challenging.
