With Apple’s “Awe Dropping” event right around the corner, a lot of rumors, leaks, and speculation have stormed the internet. Another rumor suggests the use of ProMotion 120Hz displays across the board, as well as potential vapor chamber cooling for the Pro models. Without further ado, let’s get started.
Note: iPhone 17 and the products we have mentioned below are not explicitly confirmed by Apple. As of September 4, 2025, Apple has only confirmed the event itself, but what’s to come is pure anticipation.

What To Expect: The Full iPhone 17 Model Range

According to rumors, Apple plans to release four models in 2025: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. As mentioned earlier, there is no Plus model this year. Air replaces it, and as per the specs, it is a slimmer option.
All iPhone 17 Specifications

The iPhone 17 Air is the main talking point here, as it stands out with an ultra-thin design. The Air’s display measures around 6.6 inches, with OLED and a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a single 48MP rear camera and a 24MP front camera. As for the chip, it’s the A19 Pro, but the GPU is a 5-core one. The battery is around 2,800mAh, and the modem is Apple’s in-house 5G modem, as seen on the last-generation iPhone 16e. The color options include Black, White, Light Blue, and Light Gold.
The standard iPhone 17 sees a screen size increase to 6.3 inches. It also gets a 120Hz ProMotion display, alongside the regular A19 chip with a 5-core GPU. Rumors suggest that the standard model also features a vapor chamber cooling system. The battery is rated at 3,600mAh. As for the colors, Black, White, Steel Gray, Green, Purple, and Light Blue are the available options.
The iPhone 17 Pro retains its 6.3-inch size from previous models. Instead of the A19 chip, it gets the A19 Pro, but the GPU is a 6-core one, delivering higher performance than the standard model. The battery capacity is around 3,700mAh. The RAM is upgraded from 8GB on the standard model to 12GB on the Pro.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max has a 6.9-inch display. It shares the Pro’s A19 chip, 12GB RAM, and the 48MP camera setup with an 8x zoom lens. As usual, the battery on the Pro Max is the largest of all, rated at 5,000mAh. Both the Pro and the Pro Max share the same colors: Black, White, Gray, Dark Blue, and a new Orange.
Display Upgrades for All
According to rumors, all models will feature LTPO OLED screens, supporting 120Hz ProMotion display technology.
Camera Overhaul
Pro models have a triple 48MP rear camera. The telephoto lens reaches 8x zoom. All iPhone models get a 24MP front camera. The Pro Camera app now adds advanced controls, and dual recording works from the front and rear. There is also an extra Camera Control button on the Pro models.
Technical Upgrades
The A19 chip powers the entire lineup. The Pro versions offer 12GB RAM, while the standard models have 8GB. Vapor chamber cooling is present for the Pro and Pro Max models.
iPhone 17 Expected Prices
The standard iPhone 17 starts at $799, the iPhone Air at $899-$949. The Pro starts at $1,099 (256GB base), and the Pro Max at $1,199.
