Nvidia dropped some huge updates at Gamescom 2025. It is a breath of fresh air from the company to hear about gaming after getting overexposed to AI. Sadly, though, gaming updates don’t always mean new GPUs, as gamers are anticipating more VRAM with the RTX 50 Super. Still, the information is very exciting. Let’s put it all together.

GeForce NOW Gets 80-Class GPUs

The biggest update starts from cloud gaming advancements, such as the GeForce Now game servers, which will use Blackwell-powered GPUs with RTX 5080 level performance for ultimate subscribers. Better image quality is on offer thanks to AV1+ support with Blackwell’s encoder, at the same $19.99/month price.
DLSS 4 Hits Over 175 Games

The tech DLSS, once criticized for producing a blurry image, with the 1st generation of RTX cards, has now evolved into a completely different thing. 175 titles and more to come. Newest additions include Borderlands 4 (with an RTX 50 bundle), Phantom Blade Zero, Dying Light: The Beast, among others.
Project G-Assist for Everyone

Nvidia has reduced the VRAM requirement for Project G-Assist by 40%, allowing RTX GPU owners with 6GB VRAM to enjoy this handy chatbot, which significantly aids gaming sessions. Other changes include the addition of Plug-In Hub via mod.io, which lets the user explore other community-made mods. The company has also stated that battery tools are coming next month.
NVIDIA App Reworked

The Nvidia App integration did not receive a warm reception at launch. Over time, Nvidia worked around the quirks, solving most of the issues plaguing gamers. But as per the new refresh, gamers now get a Global DLSS Override. Smooth Motion frame interpolation now supports RTX 40 Series GPUs, and the in-game overlay has gotten much better.
RTX Remix Contest Winners Announced
RTX Remix officially left beta, adding DLSS 4 and neural textures for modders. As part of the event, Nvidia held a $50,000+ RTX Remix contest for the modding community. The results are:

NVIDIA ACE Powers Voice-Driven Gaming

As seen in The Oversight Bureau, a tech demo showcasing how AI can transform game storytelling with technologies such as ACE and Riva ASR to simulate natural voice interactions with in-game NPCs. Players will be able to speak directly with the characters instead of typing or selecting dialogue options. The response is almost instantaneous, rated at around 90-100 milliseconds.
Rewards and Giveaways for GeForce Fans
Players can claim the free Doctor Strange skin through the Nvidia app until August 29. Borderlands 4 comes bundled with an RTX 50 series GPU, purchased through September 22. A take to stop scalping in Europe with the Verified Priority token upon ordering the RTX 5090 Founders Edition. Lastly, the company will also give away five RTX 5070 Golden Tickets on August 22.
