Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is the latest game in the Like a Dragon series and is a spin-off to Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. It takes place sometime after the events of Infinite Wealth and follows the story of recurring side character Goro Majima.
Being a spin-off with a storyline separate from the main series, Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii has a whole new cast of characters. Some of these characters have been introduced to us via various trailers and promotional materials. So, here are all the major characters in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii.
Goro Majima
Majima is the patriarch of the former Tojo Clan’s Majima Family. He is an exceptionally violent ex-Yakuza known as the Mad Dog of Shimano for his wild behaviour.
Majima begins the game with none of his memories and is marooned on an island. Here, he is saved by a local boy named Noah Rich. To fulfill Noah’s dream of seeing the world, Majima sets sail on the seas of Hawaii, thus entering into conflict with the pirate forces of Madlantis.
The Rich Family
The Rich Family is the family of Noah, the boy who saved Majima’s life. Starting with Noah himself, he is afflicted with a chronic illness, due to which his father forbids him from leaving the island. Despite this, Noah yearns to see the outside world.
Noah’s father, Jason Rich, is a former treasure hunter who once sailed around the world. Now, though, he is a simple bar owner who whiles away his days in perpetual drunkenness. This bar stays afloat thanks to the efforts of his daughter, Moana Rich, who is Noah’s older sister.
Goro
Goro is an adorable little cat(?). Noah found him after he escaped from a ship. Since the two met, he and Noah have been inseparable. However, for some reason, Majima insists that he is a tiger.
Antagonists in Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii
There are numerous antagonistic forces who will cross blades with Majima across the game. Chief among these are:
Mortimer
Mortimer is the champion of Madlantis’s Pirates’ Coliseum. His charismatic behaviour inspires the loyalty of those around him. He also seems to have some bitter history with Jason Rich.
Queen Michele
Queen Michele is one of the leaders of Madlantis. She is the creator of the Pirates’ Coliseum and is renowned as the ruler of Madlantis. Additionally, a group of subordinates follows her wherever she goes. Among these is her secretary and bodyguard Naomi Rich, Jason’s oldest daughter.
Raymond Law
Raymond Law is a magnate who manages the money on Madlantis. Moreover, he has also earned the moniker of “Pirate King.” Together with Queen Michele, he rules over Madlantis and is also the manager of the Pirates’ Coliseum.
