The strategy colony simulator Rimworld’s latest expansion, titled ‘Odyssey’, is out recently. Ludeon Studios has released the DLC alongside the major update 1.6. The update and expansion introduce various intriguing features, making Rimworld fans excited. To further fuel up the excitement, the developers have also announced discounts on Rimworld’s previous DLC expansions.

All Rimworld DLC Expansions
Royalty (February 24, 2020)
Royalty, Rimworld’s first DLC, introduces the Empire, a powerful faction with hyper-advanced technology combined with ancient traditions. Complete quests to earn various Imperial Titles like acolyte, knight, and baron.
Launched on February 24, 2020, the expansion provides a unique combat mechanic through psychic powers and enhances the game’s combat loop. While some psychic powers like Painblock and Invisibility enhance the combat, others like Solar pinhole and Word of love impact the community management.
The DLC also introduces various quests, rewarding Imperial titles, new allies, unique implants, archotechnological artifacts, gear, and faction goodwill upon completion. Mech clusters, a group of mechanoid buildings, offer a much tactical challenge for players.
Ideology (July 20, 2021)
Ideology, the second DLC expansion of Rimworld, was launched on July 20, 2021. It lets players shape the colony’s beliefs and ideologies through various factors. Every colonist adopts a unique belief system with customizable memes and precepts that affect food, rituals, clothing, combat, and more aspects, allowing you to create a near-infinite variety of different belief systems.
Interestingly, Colonists can also convert each other to different beliefs or ideologies, creating a dynamic social structure. Assign social roles like leader, moral guide, and specialist, each with powerful abilities and ritual duties. Customize colony aesthetics with styles, buildings, apparel, and tattoos, depending on the belief system.
Biotech (October 21, 2022)
Released on October 21, 2022, Biotech is the third Rimworld DLC expansion. It introduces a deep reproduction and child-rearing system. Colonists can have children by either natural or artificial means. Care for your babies to make them happy and raise them as happy colonists. The DLC also introduces genetically modified operations, allowing players to create different traits or even different races, like xenohumans.
Connect with different Xenohuman factions like hardy pig-people, poison-drinking waster pirates, and unforgiving neanderthal hunters. Join the blood-drinking Sanguophages cult or obtain immortality from them by force. Additionally, create mechanoids and command them to aid in combat or labor. Build an army of mechanoids and challenge super-mechanoid bosses to upgrade your mechanoid technology.
Anomaly (April 11, 2024)
Anomaly is the fourth Rimworld DLC expansion. Released on April 11, 2024, Anomaly introduces horror-themed content into the world of Rimworld. Inspired by classics like Cabin in the Woods, The Thing, The Cthulhu mythos, and Hellraiser, the DLC focuses on horror and Darkness, awakening from a dark monolith.
Battle various deadly creatures and beings such as fleshbeasts, hordes of undead, death-machines, devouring water-beasts, and more. Capture the monsters in the containment facility and study the dark entities to end the chaos.
Odyssey (July 11, 2025)
Finally, we have Odyssey, the latest and fifth DLC expansion. Launched on July 11, 2025, the expansion introduces a variety of unique landscapes, such as new biomes and landmarks, each requiring a distinct survival strategy.
Gravship remains one of the notable additions of the addition, which allows you to build your mobile colony and travel across the planet, exploring space. You can experiment with different playstyles, such as living as a nomad, kidnapping raiders, or building your own floating zoo.
Additionally, the DLC also introduces over 40+ animals that you can tame and train. The expansion also introduced new weapons and gadgets like Sawed-off shotguns, AI-assisted rifle scope, Hunter drones, Wasp drones, and Ancient sentries, significantly enhancing your combat.
