Forge Weaponry or Armor

Initiate the Quest- Speak with the Blacksmith in the base to start the Forge Weaponry or Armor Quest. First, you need to complete the Find the Sleeping Survivor Quest which involves finding the Blacksmith in the Ancient Vault near Rookmore. Use a summoning staff to bring him to your base after awakening him.
Collect Materials- You are required to craft Spiked Club, Scrappy Wood, or any piece of armor. The materials required to craft the Scrappy Sword are 1x Wood Logs, 3x Metal Scraps, and 2x Nails. The materials required for the Spiked Club are 4x Nails and 4x Wood Logs. Wood Logs are obtained from chopping down Trees, and destroying wooden objects. Metal Scraps can be found hidden inside chests, on abandoned workbenches in ruins. You can also obtain them when destroying metal objects. You can find the String in the overworld or as a drop from spiders or craft it by Manual Crafting using 2x Plant Fiber. You can unlock the recipe for crafting the workbench when you reach the Return Beacon past the caves after exiting the Cinder Vault for the first time.
Craft a Construction Hammer- Craft a Construction Hammer using the Workbench. Construction Hammer is essential for crafting the structures in the game. You can craft it by Manual Crafting using 1x Stone.

Proceed behind the Return Beacon and move down through the hole using the grated wall and wooden ladder. Take the staircase upwards to open a chest. Descend the spiral staircase to the bottom. Here you will encounter the Fell Thunderbrute.
Defeat the Fell Thunderbrute- You need to defeat the Fell Thunderbrute to proceed to the Shroud Root located nearby. Defeating this enemy is much more difficult, so maintain mobility and use ranged weapons.
Clear the Shroud- Destroy the shroud root to clear the shroud. Return to the base and talk to Oswald to receive your rewards.

Glider

Collect required materials for Glider- Crafting a Glider will allow you to reach distant locations or to cross enshrouded valleys unharmed. You need to craft the Glider at the Workbench. Shroud Spores are found by looting weaker Shroud creatures. Animal Fur is crafted at Hunter using the 10x Fur Patch and 2x String.

Investigate the Spire- Once you’ve reached the Spire location, head towards the ground level to get the purple teleporter pad. Press the button on the south side of the room on the first level. The door opens and on the right side, there is a treasure chest. Use a Grappling Hook to swing across the gap.

There is a lore book titled “We Have Dug Too Far” in the room. You can find the glowing Crucible buried in the rubble behind the book. Equip a pickaxe to clear the rubble and the Crucible or you can also use the Explosive Ball to destroy the rubble.
