Lost Skies Announcement Trailer

The Announcement Trailer for Lost Skies was released on May 19, 2023, created and developed by Bossa Studios. This first trailer doesn’t show much actual gameplay yet. Most of it consists of an animated sequence, which shows characters working together to escape a cave full of lobster monsters with their treasure. The real highlight is the suggestion of what movement in the game will be like. With the use of grapple hooks for quick, vertical movement and skyships to travel among the floating island. It concludes with a bit of in-game footage, but not really enough to say if the movement or gameplay will live up to the promise.

Lost Skies Gameplay Reveal Trailer

Next, the Lost Skies Gameplay Reveal Trailer was released on August 21, 2024, and gave players a first real look at how characters looked and moved. The art style is more simplistic than other high-fidelity games. However, this decision with likely help with game performance inside a vast open world. Additionally, we get to see real examples of how characters will move in and traverse the world. The sky is no limit here, with player-designed skyships riding the wind. Furthermore, individual characters can freely move about with the help of a grapple hook and glider. The world appears to be an interesting mix of fantasy and sci-fi, with ancient lost technology that can be discovered and recreated.
