Palworld offers a considerable amount of weapons categorized into Melee, Ranged, Grenades, Launcher, Legendary, and Grappling Sphere. Melee weapons offer light and minimal damage while Ranged weapons have unique effects and damage. Grenades are explosive weapons good for crowd control. Weapons in Palworld require specific materials to craft that you can craft at the allocated workbench.

Melee weapons are basic weapons for close combat but lack any upgraded schematics. Melee weapons like axes and pickaxes are useful for gathering materials in the game. These weapons can work as melee albeit weaker than other melee weapons. These weapons are not effective as compared to the ranged weapons. They do not require any kind of ammo, so using them is much easier. Use Stone Spear for any close-range encounters.

Ranger weapons can attack for a distance and also include upgraded versions as well. They are split into bows and guns along with throwable weapons as well. We recommend you not to use these weapons at a melee range. Prioritize ranged weapons like the Old Bow early on. Use ranged weapons to hunt pals safely from a distance.

Ammo in Palworld is a supply of bullets and gunpowder that you can utilize to craft and restock weapons. You can craft them at workbenches and purchase the ammo from merchants in your base. In that case, get the Pal Merchant and the Wandering Merchant in your base. If you’re out of money, then you can sell Pals you catch to accumulate money to buy ammo. Ammo effectively uses Bows (Arrows) and Guns (Bullets/Shells) to damage enemies and pals. You can also change some ammo with a couple of weapons. For example, you can utilize the Poison Arrow for Poison Bow. They have less weight and are loaded into a Weapon to use.

Grenade in Palworld is used as a thrown weapon. It explodes on impact dealing AoE damage. This throwable weapon creates an explosion to damage enemies or help capture pals. You can also use a grenade launcher to launch the grenade. We recommend you use this weapon against a large group of enemies. The Legendary Weapons are the best rarity in Palworld. They offer the best stats in terms of damage. Crafting and equipping the legendary weapons will significantly increase your chances of survival. These will make you more confident in your adventure, especially when completing the dungeons, towers, and boss battles. The Legendary weapons are obtained by crafting at a certain workbench after getting their Legendary Schematics.
Legendary Schematics are crafting recipes for the Legendary weapon. These Schematics are extremely rare and only drop from defeating certain Alpha Bosses. Some of the Schematics can also be found in Gold Chests. However, the drop rate of all of these schematics is low and it will require you to defeat an Alpha Boss a few times before you get the recipe.
