Basics of An Average Campaign
An Average Campaign offers a team-based strategy with roguelike difficulty. And because it’s a turn-based game, you will fight by planning your turns, prioritizing your target, and collecting loot to prepare for harder encounters. Here are some of the basic features you should know about the game:
- Boons: Passive upgrades you can buy with Cealts (in-game currency). You can equip up to five, though some take more than one slot.
- Classes: There are six classes in this game, each offering two subclasses and having a unique skill tree. The classes are:
- Warrior
- Ramger
- Rogue
- Mage
- Priest
- Brawler
- Turn-Based Combat: Each turn, you can either choose to attack a certain enemy, block, or heal your teammates depending on the class.
- Crafting & Leveling: Defeat enemies to earn XP, level up your stats, and craft new weapons and gear after you complete a level.
- Stash System: You can share the loot that you gained at the end of the combat with party members through your shared stash.
Starting Out: Your First Run
As soon as you enter the game, you will spawn in the Tavern, where you will see the NPCs that will explain game basics once you interact. On the wall you will see a Magic Mirror; interact with it to choose your class before you start your first dungeon run. After you have selected your class, you can now go to the Aura Farmer at the entrance to start your campaign.
Once your adventure begins, you will face enemies one encounter at a time. After each battle, your party moves to a camp, where you can:
- Use skill points to upgrade stats.
- Craft better weapons and potions.
- Heal or rest to recover HP.
Every decision affects how far your team can go.
Choosing the Right Class
Choosing the right class can make a lot of difference. Each class plays differently; choose the one you deem fit according to your playstyle: Here is the list of classes you can play with:
- Warrior: Balanced fighter with strong defense.
- Ranger: Fights with multi-target attacks and debuffs.
- Rogue: Fast and critical-hit focused.
- Mage: Uses spells for high damage but has low defense.
- Priest: Supports and heals allies.
- Brawler: Powerful melee attacker with high risk-reward combat.
If you are new, you can go ahead with the Warrior or Priest class; they are great for beginners and work well in small parties.

- Pick off enemies that can deal the most damage first.

- Use the Altar (250 gp) for full healing, or the Necromancer (100 gp) for a cheaper, half-heal option.

As you progress and complete each run, you will get Cealts and Prestige Points, which you can spend on Boons and upgrade your Skill Tree.
