Cid is here, but not for long. Check the full Anime Rangers X Shadowborne 1.5 patch notes and event details before the timer runs out.

Anime Rangers X finally drops its 1.5 Shadowborne update, and it wastes no time shaking the meta. Three fresh faces join the roster, each with game-changing passives that reward aggressive play. Cid dominates the map with full-range strikes, Elisabeth bleeds enemies dry, and Delta races in for critical hits whenever Cid is on the field.
A limited Soulbane Requiem boss event controls access to Cid, so early grinding is mandatory. Beyond the new units, the patch restores lost passives on evolved fighters, buffs Eto, extends Yen Generate upgrades to level 30, and reins in Yuta’s runaway ultimate damage.
Patch Notes for Anime Rangers X Shadowborne Update 1.5
The Shadowborne 1.5 patch is now live in Anime Rangers X. Here’s a full breakdown of what’s new, what’s changed, and how to get your hands on the most powerful units introduced so far.

New Units Added in Update 1.5
Three new characters have been added in this patch. Each one comes with unique passive abilities and a different method of acquisition. Take a close look before building your lineup.
- Cid (Secret Unit)
- All Range: After every third ability, the next attack hits the entire map for 60% of its normal damage.
- Everlasting Ego: Increases evasion by 2.5% for each enemy defeated (caps at 25%).
- How to Get: Earned through the limited-time Soulbane Requiem Boss Event.
- Note: Only 30,000 Cid units are available. Once gone, they’re gone.
- Elisabeth (Secret Unit)
- The Red Moon: Every ability use or dropping below 30% HP activates Red Moon, causing all attacks to apply stronger bleed effects.
- Death’s Echo: Enemies who die from bleeding have a chance to explode, dealing AoE damage and applying bleed to nearby enemies.
- How to Get: Available through the Rate-Up Banner.
- Delta (Mythic Unit)
- Wolf’s Fury: The first enemy hit during Delta’s rage takes 40% more damage. Delta also gains a 50% speed boost.
- Shadow’s Scent: When Cid is on the field, Delta gains +20% Speed, +50% Critical Damage, and +20% overall Damage.
- How to Get: Pull from the General Banner.
Soulbane Requiem Boss Event

The Soulbane Requiem event is your only path to unlock Cid, the newest secret Shadowborne unit. This boss fight offers limited-time rewards, and you’ll need to grind hard if you want them.
- Fight the Soulbane boss repeatedly to earn:
- A chance to obtain Cid
- Trait Rerolls
- Stat Keys
- Gems
- Cid’s availability is capped at 30,000 units, so prioritize this event immediately.
Miscellaneous Changes
Alongside the new content, the developers rolled out several gameplay improvements and tweaks. These won’t shake the meta as hard but are still worth noting.
- Fixed a bug where units would lose passive abilities after evolving.
- Eto received a buff and now has an Ultimate ability.
- The Yen Generate Stat cap has been increased from Level 25 to 30.
- Yuta’s Ultimate Damage has been nerfed from 1000% down to 500%.
That covers every new unit, event, and balance change in the Shadowborne 1.5 update. If you want to stay ahead of the curve, now’s the time to log in and start grinding. Prioritize Cid, plan your pulls wisely, and restructure your team to make the most of these changes.
