Apple’s new AI-powered Workout Buddy has been introduced with the new watchOS 26 update. Your workouts are now enhanced with Apple Intelligence. An AI assistant will personally motivate you with voiceovers, providing much-needed motivation during your sets. Apple explained that users going on a run can get an analysis of their performance within that week. It can even remind you of milestones as you achieve them.

After a workout activity ends, the Workout Buddy can also provide useful data related to the user’s performance. It also tells you about various achievements made during that particular workout. As part of the new watchOS 26, Apple has also introduced a new wrist flick feature. Apple implemented a machine learning model to make the new feature better understand the data from the gyroscope and accelerometer.

What Can You Do With The Wrist Flick Feature?

With this new wrist flick feature, users can easily dismiss notifications and calls. This will make using the Apple Watch a touch more convenient, allowing interaction with the software without even touching the device. With the new wrist flick feature releasing with watchOS 26, users can even interact with timers and alarms.

When Will watchOS 26 Be Out?

watchOS 26 will come out later this year, and a public beta will be available for people to test next month. Users who are part of the developer program can get beta access starting today. Do note that you should ideally install early versions of Apple software on your secondary devices only. There may be bugs and instability issues with beta software.
