ARC Raiders runs well on modern hardware. You can easily max out the game with the RTX 3060 and expect 60+ FPS. The base optimization is good; the game heavily relies on a multi-threading approach and effectively uses your CPU’s cores to maximize performance.

These are good optimization practices, and are a warm welcome. However, there are issues, such as shimmering, artifacts, and ghosting within the image. Random objects/bushes/mesh, and foliage will pop in and out, obstructing the view and interfering with gameplay. The settings below aim to fix these issues and ensure that you get the maximum visibility, as it’s a vital factor in surviving and completing your objectives.

Note: Given the current state of the game, we do not recommend using RT, despite it not being that heavy to run at all. RT produces more noise within the image, and this obstructs your vision. Also, you require a potent CPU to avoid being CPU-bound in this game. The game will likely push for high CPU usage, and there is a high chance your entry-level 3050 will be CPU-bound with a Ryzen 5 5500.

For RTX 3050 and RTX 3060, we recommend playing the game at 1080p resolution. For RTX 3060 Ti and later, we recommend shifting to 1440p, as these cards can seamlessly handle this game. The VRAM usage will be well below 8GB and won’t cause any out-of-VRAM issues.

We are using DLSS (DLAA) to help clean up all the shimmering and artifacting issues and produce a sharp-looking image, focusing on visual clarity more than aesthetics. That said, the game offers the choice of a CNN model with DLSS upscaling. Choose the CNN model with your RTX 3050 if performance dips below your preferred frame rate. The image won’t look as crisp, but the frame rate will be much higher.

You can play the game at 4K with GPU horsepower such as RTX 3080 and higher. With the RTX 3090 and RTX 3090 Ti, you can even try 4K with DLAA, or DLSS Quality if performance drops below your required frame rate.
