For the most part, it’s pretty straightforward. You travel to four specific locations and complete various objectives in the area. However, these areas can be a bit tricky to reach as they are often on top of a building or in hidden locations.

How To Complete the First Foothold Quest in Arc Raiders
Stabilize the Observation Dock Near the Ridgeline
Travel to the Ridgeline and find an observation dock nearby. Head close to it and check the supporting beams for something to interact with. You should find an option to “Stabilize Deck.” Do this, and it will be marked as completed.
Enable the Comms Terminal Near the Olive Grove
This part of the quest is a bit tricky, as the area is a bit far from any points of interest, making it quite hidden. Head southwest of Olive Grove and up a hill until you find a small camp with a yellow terminal. Once you find the location, interact with the terminal to complete this task.
Rotate the Satellite Dishes on the Church Roof, North of Data Vault
For this objective, you need to travel north of the Data Vault map marker. In there, you will find a church. Climb on top of the building and onto the rooftop and interact with the satellite dish. Find a giant box beside a scaffolding and use it to climb up the rooftop, where you will see your objective.
Nail Down the Roof Plates on the Raider Structure Near Trapper’s Glade
For the next area, you need to reach Trapper’s Glade and climb up a Raider Structure. This objective is very easy to complete. Simply nail down the roof, and this task will be marked as completed.
