Customize Your Character in Arc Raiders
When you launch the game for the first time, you’ll receive a set of default customization options. This is where you can define your character’s key features, including face type, body type, nose bandage, and hairstyle. Once set, these become your character’s initial appearance.
However, after completing the tutorial phase, you will gain access to additional customization options for your character’s clothing and overall look. Let’s take a closer look at how to customize your character in Arc Raiders.
To customize your character, follow the steps below,
- Launch the game and reach the main menu.
- Now, click on the ‘Raider’ tab at the top of your screen.
- From here, you will have many options, including your character’s Skill Tree. Select the very first tab.
- From here, you can customize the different looks, clothing, and actions for your character.
Below are the four customization options you will have access to.
Appearnce
Appearance is the foundation of your character’s identity. You can set your character’s gender, choose a preferred body and face type, and adjust their hairstyle. While all face and body types are available from the beginning, some body scars must be unlocked through gameplay.
Style
This is your moment to stand out. Now that you’ve decided to venture into dangerous territory, you might as well do it in style. You can equip fashionable clothing, a sleek backpack, and stylish tags to complete your look. As you progress through the game and earn more coins, you’ll unlock additional outfits for your character.
Emotes
Emotes play a crucial part in your game. They’re one of the best ways to communicate or make peace with other raiders. Each map pits you against Arcs of various types and sizes, and with so many threats already present, the last thing you want is hostility from other players. By using the right emotes with cooperative raiders, you can team up and make extractions smoother. Emotes range from dance moves to peace signs.
Scrappy
Scrappy is your pet chicken who serves a huge advantage. Sometimes, if you fail to extract safely, you will lose valuable materials collected during your run. That’s where Scrappy comes in. While you are exploring, he picks up small bits of materials for you to use later. Through this option, you can choose to play dress up with Scrappy, honouring his efforts with a fancy hat or some nice feathers.
