The Bison in Arc Raiders is an ARC machine that has humbled many players with better loot. Here’s how you can easily defeat it.
Meeting the Bison for the first time in Arc Raiders is mostly a quick end to your runs, or a struggle to run from it. Fast, mobile and fully armored, the Bison is a four-legged ARC that will hunt you down really fast. Using its strong legs, it jumps and attacks you in melee range, and will quickly end your party if you don’t take it down swiftly. Here is a quick rundown of how you can defeat the Bison in Arc Raiders.
How To Defeat the Bison in Arc Raiders
Defeating the Bison requires you to remain calm and start dodging its attacks as if you’re in a Souls-like game. It is fast and medium armored, but has major weaknesses in its agile body. All four legs can be shot down continuously to reveal the insides. Once revealed, it can be quickly taken down. However, even after it stops moving, you have to shoot down its eye to get the loot.
It is recommended to fight it on open fields, where it normally spawns. Weapons like Light Rifles with more magazine capacity can be devastating to its legs, but a sure-fire way to defeat it is to use 2-3 Wolfpack Grenades. Similarly, Sniper Rifles also work well as it has full armor that the sniper can damage easily.
Bison’s AOE attacks also throw shock waves that will stun and render you useless in battle. These shockwaves occur when the Bison leaps for long distances. So, make sure to run away from the Bison if you’re already in a PvP combat situation. If it’s your first time spotting the Bison, do not underestimate its agility. It can climb buildings and Research Towers and chase you down inside as well.
A cheese to defeat the Bison is to abuse its wall-climb ability. Once it starts chasing you up the building, you can quickly shoot down its legs and the momentum should be enough to kill it instantly.

There’s a quest for defeating the Bison for the first time that rewards you with 1x Equalizer and 34,000XP. After you complete this quest, defeating the Bison can give you any of these items:
