Learn how to farm Laboratory Reagent effectively in Arc Raiders and quickly gather enough to upgrade the Explosive Station.
Laboratory Reagent is a rare crafting material in Arc Raiders that can only be found through scavenging during matches. Its primary use is to upgrade the Explosive Station in the Workshop to level 3. It can also be recycled into valuable resources for crafting consumables in the Workshop stations. However, locating Laboratory Reagent is tricky since it isn’t abundantly available across all locations and has a higher chance of spawning in specific maps.
Where To Find Laboratory Reagent in Arc Raiders?
Laboratory Reagent features the Medical tag, which means you will most likely find it in Medical locations. You can identify these areas by the plus symbol marking them. Scavenge through the following locations for the highest chances of finding Laboratory Reagent:
Buried City
- Hospital
- Research
- Plaza Rosa
- Piazza Arbusto
Dam Battlegrounds
- Testing Annex
When searching specifically for the Laboratory Reagent, avoid The Blue Gate and Spaceport maps since they don’t have any Medical major loot zones. The best map to find Laboratory Reagent is Buried City because it has four major loot zones with the Medical tag. The Hospital is the only location exclusively featuring the Medical tag. Search storage closets, medical rooms, side labs, and hospital beds to find Laboratory Reagent.
You can also keep an eye out for Medical Cases on any of the maps, as these may contain Laboratory Reagent. For instance, there is a Medical Case in central Buried City, inside the building east of the Santa Maria Houses and directly south of the Town Hall.

How To Use Laboratory Reagent in Arc Raiders
The most important use of Laboratory Reagent is upgrading the Explosive Station to Level 3. Doing so allows you to craft powerful late-game items, including the coveted Wolfpack grenades, which make defeating bosses much easier. Here are all the resources required for the Explosive Station Level 3 upgrade:
- 3x Laboratory Reagent
- 5x Explosive Compound
- 3x Rocketeer Driver
If you already have a level 3 Explosive Station, consider recycling Laboratory Reagent to get:
- 16x Chemicals
- 3x Crude Explosives
Chemicals are a common crafting resource but are required across most Workshop stations to make ammunition, gun parts, and explosives. Crude Explosives can be refined into Explosive Compounds to create Wolfpack and Heavy Fuze Grenades.
