Learn how to find the Dog Collar in Arc Raiders, upgrade Scrappy for better resource collection, or recycle it for materials.
Arc Raiders has a vast assortment of items and junk that you can loot across the various areas in its maps. With so much on your hands after a successful raid, it can become difficult to ascertain which items you should salvage for crafting materials and which ones should be preserved for weapon upgrades or other enhancements. The Dog Collar is one such unassuming item that is crucial for upgrading your Workshop companion, Scrappy, who passively collects resources for you.
Where To Find the Dog Collar in Arc Raiders
You can find the Dog Collar by searching containers and lockers in the Residential areas of any Arc Raiders map. Since the Dog Collar has the “Residential” tag on it, you can find it in practically any region with houses, apartments, or underground residences. Examples of residential locations include:
- Plaza Rosa
- Grandiosa Apartments
- Red Tower
- Santa Maria Houses
- Testing Annex
Areas with “Houses” and “Apartments” in their names are guaranteed to be classified as Residential. You can refer to the map legend to find the Residential icon, which looks like the simple silhouette of a person, and use it to find Residential areas among the map’s locations.

How To Use the Dog Collar in Arc Raiders
The best use of the Dog Collar is to upgrade Scrappy from Level 1 (Fledgling) to Level 2 (Forager). The upgrade will allow Scrappy to gather more materials on each trip. It also unlocks the Level 3 (Scavenger) upgrade for Scrappy, which only requires a few Lemons and Apricots. Therefore, the Dog Collar unlocks Scrappy’s potential to become a steady source of considerable loot.
If you have already upgraded Scrappy, the Dog Collar has no other special uses and can be recycled. Recycling the Dog Collar will give you:
- 8 x Fabric
- 1 x Metal Parts

How To Upgrade Scrappy to Level 2
Once you find the Dog Collar, extract successfully and return to the Raider Den. Head to the Workshop, select Scrappy from the Workshop menu, and choose “Train”. Scrappy is now at level 2 and will bring in a greater haul of items to his collection box. The next upgrade requires:
- 3 x Lemons
- 3 x Apricots
