Rusted Tools and Rusted Gear are rare crafting resources required to upgrade the Gunsmith Workshop station. The Gunsmith station is all-important when it comes to crafting weapons and attachments. To upgrade it fully, you will need to find plenty of Rusted Tools and Rusted Gear. Although both resources have the Industrial tag, farming them is much easier if you know guaranteed spawn locations rather than searching every Industrial area.
Where To Get Rusted Tools in Arc Raiders?
Rusted Tools are tagged Mechanical and Industrial, which means they can be found in areas marked with the Mechanical and Industrial symbols. Here are the best locations to find Rusted Tools in Arc Raiders:
The Dam Battlegrounds
- Power Generation Complex: Several Rusted Tools can spawn within the complex. The Field Depot and its adjacent building, located to the southeast of the complex, have lockers with guaranteed Rusted Tools spawns.
- The Scrapyard: The highest volume of Rusted Tools will likely spawn at this location, but it may also have the most players scavenging through it.
- Electrical Substation: Loot crates within the substation spawn Mechanical resources.
- Water Tower: A lot of Mechanical loot to find by prying open crates.
Spaceport
- Maintenance Hangar: The hangar and the area surrounding it, especially the Fuel Storage to the west, have crates and lockers which yield Rusted Tools when searched. There are three player spawns in this region, making its resources highly contested.
- Vehicle Maintenance: There are crates on the north and south ends of the building, which have a chance to contain Rusted Tools.

Where To Get Rusted Gear in Arc Raiders
Rusted Gear is an important crafting resource in Arc Raiders because you need it to upgrade the Gunsmith station to Level 3. The upgrade requires you to find three Rusted Gears alongside five Advanced Mechanical Components and four Sentinel Firing Cores.
You can reliably find Rusted Gears by searching cars, which are available in large numbers within Industrial areas.
