Recycling items in ARC Raiders is one of the most important gameplay mechanics. It essentially allows you to turn any item that you don’t want into valuable resources. These materials can then be used later to craft other items. For instance, you happen to come across an Arc Coolant but don’t require it. When you recycle it, you will receive a lot of chemicals.

These chemicals can then be used to craft items such as different types of ammo and grenades. Needless to say, this makes recycling one of the most crucial features in the gameplay loop of ARC Raiders. So, without any further ado, let’s quickly discuss how you can recycle items in Embark Studios’ latest extraction shooter.

To recycle items in ARC Raiders, follow these steps:

  • Head over to your Inventory. This can be done during a game as well as from the main menu.
  • Find any item in your Backpack that you want to recycle.
  • Select the item and scroll down to Recycle.
  • Confirm that you wish to proceed with the process by selecting Recycle again.

That’s it. The item will now be broken down into crafting materials. These can then be used to create other items in the game. This allows you to turn unwanted items into valuable materials.

Being an extraction shooter, in each run, you’ll acquire a bunch of loot. Now, naturally, not all of them will be useful. So, instead of selling them or throwing them away, you can recycle them.

This will provide you with valuable resources that you can use to craft other items later in the game. It goes without saying that not every item will yield valuable materials. Depending on the rarity of an item, the materials you gain by recycling it will change. In fact, sometimes it is better to sell off certain items rather than recycle them.
