ARC Raiders features both PvP and PvE, placing it among the highly popular PvPvE genre. This means you will face off against both AI-controlled enemies and other players while playing. The latest extraction shooter promises to be a wild ride when it launches in full. For now, you can request access to join the ongoing playtest. Before you jump in and make your mark in the game, here’s what you need to know about PvE and PvP in ARC Raiders.
PvP in ARC Raiders: What We Know
The game features extensive PvP, meaning there will be situations where you will go up against other real players like yourself. In most PvP titles, these are the toughest battles, as you might run into a player who’s just as skilled with the gameplay mechanics as you are. With the PvP element, you can go toe-to-toe in the ultimate test of skill and mastery.
Since the game combines both PvP and PvE, you won’t be able to predict when you might encounter other players. This often enhances the thrill, as you are constantly on your toes, watching out for players who are out to get you.

PvE in ARC Raiders: What We Know
While PvP encounters will be challenging, ARC Raiders also promises intense battles against AI enemies. These will mostly consist of robots and mechanical foes. Some will be basic foot soldiers, easier to take down, but capable of overwhelming you with sheer numbers. Others may be massive robotic behemoths that require the combined efforts of your entire squad to defeat.
If that sounds like your kind of game, you can request access to join the ongoing Tech Test 2. Players on all platforms, including PS5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC, can join the playtest. You can even invite a couple of your friends to join you in the adventure. ARC Raiders will be free-to-play when it officially launches. While there’s no exact release date yet, it is expected to drop sometime in 2025.
