Use these settings for Ark: Ragnarok Ascended on your RX 9060 XT and enjoy stable performance without much compromise.
Like its Nvidia counterparts, the RX 9060 XT also comes in two variants: 8GB and 16 GB. Surprisingly, RDNA 4 performs significantly better than previous-generation hardware in UE5 games. That said, the performance is still inadequate to run the game at high visual settings. With UE5.5 now fully functional in the game, consider adjusting these settings as they mitigate the performance loss introduced by the latest update.
Note: 1080p is highly recommended for optimal performance with this GPU. Although the game is pretty capable at 1440p, Ark’s current optimization makes almost any GPU perform poorly at higher resolutions.
Ark: Ragnarok Ascended – Best Settings for RX 9060 XT (1080p Optimized)
A few keynotes to consider:
- Ark: Survival Ascended forces frame generation on by default to hit 60+ fps all the time. You can turn this off by pressing the Tab key and typing r.FidelityFX.FI.Enabled 0
- Currently, FSR 4 support has not been implemented. You can choose between Unreal Upscaler and FSR to see which one performs best for you.
- If you choose FSR, then use DLSS Swapper to get the latest iteration
- You may turn off Volumetrics in this game to boost your base framerate: type the following command after pressing the tab key: VolumetricFog 0, r.VolumetricCloud 0, r.Fog 0
