2024 has already given us many memorable games, but here are five games releasing in 2025 that you should look forward to.
The year 2024 has been stellar for video games thus far, and several more are slated to release in the months remaining. Games such as Black Myth: Wukong, Hades 2, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and more have set the bar. However, 2025 is preparing to knock it out of the park too. The gaming community can safely have high expectations because there’s so much great stuff coming their way.
In this article, we list five games releasing in 2025 that you should definitely add to your gaming library when the time comes.
1) Grand Theft Auto 6
Grand Theft Auto 6 is coming in 2025, we are glad to say. Vice City will return, and players will get to encounter the gangs, participate in their drug deals, deal with deranged residents, and more. There is so much that Grand Theft Auto 6 promises to offer. With the power of next-gen tech at their disposal, Rockstar Games is set to blow us away.
2) Ghost of Yotei
Fans had been clamoring for an ‘Assassin’s Creed set in Japan’ for almost a decade when Ghost of Tsushima dropped. With a beautiful open world, gorgeous landscapes reminiscent of paintings, and a rewarding samurai combat system, Ghost of Tsushima checked all the boxes of what fans wanted from a video game set in medieval Japan.
Sucker Punch has finally announced the sequel, and it will release in 2025. Set almost 370 years after the original, Ghost of Yotei will bring a new character, new myths, interesting landscapes, and much more.
3) Death Stranding 2: On The Beach
Hideo Kojima’s first “strand type game”, Death Stranding was divisive upon launch. Set in a mysterious world plagued with monstrosities and celebrities alike, Death Stranding allowed Hideo Kojima to flex his creative muscles.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, set for release in 2025, is looking to go bigger and tap deeper into its film roots. and will follow Sam on his journey to save humanity from extinction.
4) Monster Hunter Wilds
Monster Hunter Wilds is the next entry in the Monster Hunter series and is slated for release on February 28, 2025. The game will place greater emphasis on the story with a fully voiced Palico companion. It is also set to bring new weapons and longer missions, pushing you stay on the hunt longer. It is set to offer a true next-gen experience. Monster Hunter Wilds will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series S and PC.
5) DOOM: The Dark Ages
The latest entry in id Software’s revitalized DOOM franchise will take players straight into the medieval dark ages. DOOM: The Dark Ages will serve as a prequel to DOOM. Players will visit dilapidated castles torn apart by monstrosities from hell. With a metal soundtrack, demons from hell, and big guns to shoot, DOOM: The Dark Ages will stay true to form.
