VC, or Virtual Currency, is the lifeblood of NBA 2K25 as it is required for almost everything, so here are the fastest ways to earn it.
VC is the reason microtransactions work in NBA 2K25, but there are many ways to earn it without spending money. You need VC, or Virtual Currency, for many of the best aspects of the game, such as MyCAREER or MyTEAM. You need this in-game money to upgrade your MyPLAYER’s attributes, and their subsequent OVR. While this sounds quite ridiculous, it has been the norm to the point where the game feels pay-to-win.
The same is true for MyTEAM, where you need VC to open packs in the hopes of getting good player cards. Now, you’ll always be at a significant disadvantage if you’re not buying VC in NBA 2K25, and grinding can be quite frustrating and repetitive. However, if you’re smart about it, you can make this process more efficient. So, here are some of the best methods to get VC in NBA 2K25.
How to Get VC in NBA 2K25 Quickly
1) Locker Codes
NBA 2K25 frequently hands out locker codes that can contain free rewards, including VC. However, there’s no guarantee that every locker code will provide you with VC. Moreover, locker codes aren’t that abundant, and you’ll have to always be on the lookout for new ones to drop. At the moment, no locker code for 2K’s latest basketball simulation game provides any VC.
2) Quests and Endorsements
Quests should be your go-to focus in NBA 2K25 for earning VC. As you play MyCAREER, you’ll come across several objectives in the Quests screen. Some of these may be quite simple and involve talking to certain characters whereas others might be a bit more challenging. You can gain plenty of VC simply by finishing these, but your target should be the Endorsements.
These are in the Side Quests category, and they’re unlocked once you progress through the Main Quests. Your first main Endorsement will be a Shoe Deal, and you’ll have to keep playing to unlock more.
3) Daily Rewards
The Daily Spin feature in NBA 2K25 can get you some free VC simply by spinning a wheel. This is entirely luck-based, so you might not always get VC and be rewarded instead with clothes, shoes, and so on. However, if you’re really lucky, you might get up to 100,000 VC as a Daily Reward. You simply need to choose an affiliation in The City (RISE or ELITE) to get access to the Daily Rewards. So be sure to check this out on a daily basis.
4) Play on Higher Difficulty Levels
When choosing your game Difficulty, go for Pro or above. Pro Difficulty comes with a 100% VC Modifier, and the higher you go, the more VC you’ll earn. So, All-Star has a 120% modifier, Superstar increases this 140%, and Hall of Fame maxes out at a 160%. The lower difficulties (Rookie and Semi-Pro) aren’t worth it, as they lower the modifier to 30% and 60% respectively.
5) Gatorade Go-Kart Challenge
If you set a record time in NBA 2K25’s Gatorade Go-Kart Challenge, you have a chance to win 1,000,000 VC. However, this is only if you manage to set the best time of the week, where you’ll be competing globally. Now, the completing the Challenge itself unlocks the Go-Kart for travelling in The City, which is a nice enough reward.
