Daemon in Boruto has an odd connection to Saitama from the One Punch Man series, and his combat abilities are the reason.
The Boruto manga series has progressed considerably since its inception. In fact, some might say that it has entered its final stages. The Two Blue Vortex installation of the manga series is covering the present events. Every chapter up until now was a flashback, giving fans context to how Boruto and Kawaki were at each other’s throats in the present.
Naturally, there are some characters who have gotten incredibly stronger. Therefore, the villains are just as strong in order to raise the stakes. It’s impossible to talk about powerful demons without talking about Daemon. Those who have not read the manga might not be aware of this character. He hasn’t particularly received much screen time in the manga. However, netizens have reason to believe that Daemon shares an odd connection with Saitama from One Punch Man.
This might sound bizarre to those who haven’t consumed the series. Why would a Boruto villain with barely any screen time be compared to the likes of Daemon from the Boruto series? There are some similarities between the two. In order to understand what those similarities are, we need to gain a deeper understanding of Daemon’s fighting abilities. We do not know the true extent of his abilities in the manga. However, he has utilized his screen time rather well, and fans have an idea of his fighting style, which is quite unique compared to most other fighters.

Who Is Daemon in Boruto?

Eida is his older sister, and she has the Senrigan. Daemon accompanied her to the village, and they are now the citizens of the village. Amado made these changes to Daemon in the hopes of defeating Jigen at the time. The latter was made aware of the situation and ordered the cyborgs’ deaths. However, Boro was unable to do it because he was captivated by Daemon’s sister.
Daemon has a unique connection to Saitama from One Punch Man, but it has nothing to do with their personalities. The Boruto villain is quite mischievous. He exhibits little to no maturity, and that has to do with his age. However, he is an agent of chaos who doesn’t shy away from conflict. He has no fear because of his powers. This is when fans make that connection between Daemon and Saitama.
Daemon’s Powers and Abilities in Boruto
To kick things off, Daemon’s taijutsu is well above average. Furthermore, he is extremely quick on his feet and stealthy. A slight slip-up would give Daemon the advantage in a fight. However, his trump card is his Shinjutsu ability. Those who haven’t read the manga might not be aware of this term. It roughly translates to “Divine Technique.” This is a consequence of Shibai Otsutsuki’s DNA residing in him. Daemon’s Shinjutsu ability quite literally reflects his opponent’s attack. This is a technique that is activated instantly, sometimes even without Daemon’s knowledge. If his opponent wishes to attack him, it will be inflicted on them and not on Daemon.
By that logic, one cannot even damage Daemon in the anime and manga series. The only person that he was worried about was Himawari. But there was no explanation given for this reaction. That being said, fans believe that Daemon is suffering from a “Saitama Syndrome.”
What is the “Saitama Syndrome?”
There is no predefined term such as the Saitama Syndrome. However, context clues will help us understand it. Saitama is one of the strongest characters in the series, and the world doesn’t even realize it. He broke his limiters and became incredibly powerful. However, his power also became a source of his sadness. Saitama became so powerful that he was unable to find someone who could challenge his abilities. So far, there hasn’t been a single character who could take him on. There is no color in his life, and he constantly longs for a good challenge.
In this case, the Saitama Syndrome refers to the overwhelming power that nobody can match. In fact, even Garou’s powers weren’t nearly enough to test Saitama’s abilities. How Is Daemon Similar to Saitama?
As mentioned earlier, Daemon’s abilities make him one of the toughest characters in the series. Part of the reason for his carefree attitude is the lack of strong opponents. Daemon doesn’t consider anyone a threat at the moment. We haven’t seen how he fares against the likes of the Shinju.
However, it’s clear that there aren’t many people on the planet who could take him down. The only workaround for this would be to find a way to bypass his Shinjutsu. As long as his Shinjutsu is active, it doesn’t seem like Daemon could get hurt. The sheer superiority in combat makes Daemon similar to the Caped Baldy from the One Punch Man series.

Saitama from One Punch Man is one of the most powerful characters who struggles to find happiness in his rather monotonous life. While Daemon might not share a similar feeling, there are a few similarities. Both of them are formidable characters whom nobody has defeated up until now. However, we haven’t seen Daemon’s true potential in the manga. Furthermore, we do not know if there is a way to attack Daemon without triggering his Shinjutsu. At the time being, these two characters share a small degree of similarities.
